Happy Monday! And it is actually happy when I'm not working
Yesterday was a lazy day which was nice. We ventured out to the farm shop to get the potatoes and very much regretted that I CBA to do it on Saturday as the weather was horrible! It eased off in the afternoon and then was bad again overnight, so there's loads of flooding around again.
I'm working tomorrow and then I'm off for the rest of the week so today's plan is to tidy round the house and make sure it's all up to date so I don't feel like I've got to catch up with everything later in the week.
DH prepped a load of listings at the weekend, and I've photoed a few bits this morning so I'll try and get those done at some point.
Little miss had her trial piano lesson and loved it, and the teacher seemed pleased as well, so I'll get her booked on to continue with that.
I finished no 1 in Duo last week, go me! Only because they finally put me in a group which doesn't consist of people who seem to spend all day on there. I do probably do up to about an hour on there, less if I'm busy or can't be bothered, but I'm really pleased with how it's going, and I've learnt a lot. I want to start reading and watching/listening to some more stuff in French so I can consolidate my learning."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Your day sounds lush. Love a good tidy round.
Well done on number 1! Are you learning for a reason, travel or to communicate with someone you know, or just for fun? Sorry if you’ve mentioned in your diary previously, I’ve read your diary from the start but I don’t seem to retain info like I used to

I'm just learning for fun. I've always wanted to be multilingual but never made any real effort. I thought I'd start with French as I've studied it a bit in the past at the OU so thought I could build on everything that I've forgotten!
Don't worry, I forget/miss things on diaries as well."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -

I'm not sure I'll be repeating it, though I will have more time this week

I hoovered round downstairs and then went upstairs to hoover and clean the bathroom. I then got distracted by little miss's bedroom and so went in there, have moved the furniture around and reorganised it, finally picked up everything off the floor (!) and found another pile of clothes that had been shoved around in places. She has a fixed double bed base over the stairs so there's a lot of room under there for shoving stuff!
Her room looks much better, under the bed is no longer a dumping ground and I can now properly sort through all her clothes. I've got her bedding in the wash, and the clothes that I found today will be washed and then we'll sort through it all once we've got it all together.
Her storage boxes still need going through and organising, but it's very nice to see a clear floor for once! I'll be able to tackle the boxes one at a time which will make it less overwhelming for me and her. I found a few bits for something that she'd put out to go a while ago as well, so that will hopefully complete it and mean we can ebay/car boot it."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
