It's nice to hit triple figures
Yes, the waiting is awful. It will be nice to have the final structures now. Ironically, with all the changes they've made, it looks like our team is most likely reverted back to pretty much what we were anyway (after VR etc). One colleague has been moved into a different area which isn't great but will still be working with us, another is redundant who wanted to retire anyway, so they are happy. All that emotional rollercoaster, upset, worry, anger, for absolutely nothing 😡"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Happy Thursday! Even nicer for me as I'm off now (apart from going to an event one day next week) until February
That feels very nice!
Nothing planned, just pottering and chilling! I was thinking it's quite a nice time of year to be off, as there's no pressure to go anywhere or do anything, or to make the best of the weather, so I can just hibernate for a bit.
I ordered myself a portable DVD player with my Christmas vouchers and just set it up and tested it. It means I'll be able to work my way through my DVDs and start decluttering the ones I don't want to keep. We need to buy a connector for our current DVD player as it doesn't fit the new tv, but as DH usually hogs the tv, it's no hurry and I can take the portable DVD player upstairs with me.
DH sold an item today so that's been packed and posted.
I've spent a bit of time in little miss's room going through some of her storage boxes. I've pulled out old art and craft stuff (she is a prolific creator and never returns to it once she's finished with it), some broken bits, and rubbish. I've also found a fair amount of 'missing' clothing! I'll probably try and pull out all her clothing and go through it. Thankfully it's recycling day today so most of the scraps of paper and cardboard and a few plastic containers are out already."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Updated the list as my sheet of paper was full. A good start to the decluttering for this year!
I've done a bit more in little miss's bedroom and started the mountain of washing, then I sat with my book for an hour or so.
More cupboard decluttering for tea tonight. I made the first batch of pickled eggs for DH."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -
Sounds like a very productive day - and what a relief about work, but all that stress......honestly do the people in high places ever realise what they put us through I wonder? I doubt it. And how nice you're not back in until February - I'm very envious1

I don't think any of us slept well last night! The kids are full of cold. Hopefully they'll keep it!
Little miss wants to do piano lessons at school which will be £36 a month. I've signed her up for a taster lesson and will decide after that. At least it would be during school time so no more running around for me. I could do without it, but we can cover it, as it's similar to what we were paying for swimming anyway.
I think I'm just going to chill today. Hope everyone stays safe in the weather. It was very windy and wet overnight here, but it's pretty calm at the moment."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Quiet day today. I sorted a few things and took a bag of clothing to the bank at school. I've been having a review of finances and shuffled a bit of money around various accounts. I've also started looking at new broadband/tv/phone deals. I'm always a bit reluctant to switch as ours is very reliable and lots of others in the area get complaints when people ask on local fb groups. If I didn't work from home I'd probably be less bothered. I think I've got enough to have a good haggle though even staying with the same provider."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
