I sold 4 items in the end and just waiting for them to pay up now!
BalanceBy50 said:Happy belated new year @jwil I hope you had a lovely festive period. Your spending diary was really insiteful & I am determined to start one! Please do look into getting a water meter. We are a 3 bed detached with 4 of us & a biggish garden. My boys love their showers & need to be forced out. We pay £46pm & it’s only increased by £1pm for the last few years. I am the main spender in our family & I really need to sort myself out! My boys both play football & cricket for a team but I don’t mind those spends as it keeps them active & gets them outside! Would quite like my Sunday mornings though 😂😂 xx"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Happy Friday! It's nice to have the day to myself. DH says it's not icy today so we're back walking. Still really cold though!
I have made all my money back on the SW books, despite having kept most of them, so that's brilliantOne parcel posted today and 3 items still to be paid for. I've identified a couple of other items that I might list too.
I'm going to try a casserole recipe from the SW books today, it will make a change from my usual recipe and use up some cupboard ingredients too.
Have a good day"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee4 -
Fingers crossed the buyers pay soon. I need to get back on the healthy eating wagon, did quite well when i followed SW last year. Enjoy your casserole.

I think one more has paid. I need to get healthy eating as well. The casserole was a disaster. I substituted an ingredient and it smelt so bad I couldn't face it. I will try it again properly another time. I guess I've decluttered some more stuff from the cupboard though.

Today has been rubbish. I'm sure my days off are jinxed!
I found the dog had pooed on my rug out the back, so I had to clean that up (and was very lucky/relieved that I hadn't stood on it when I went out there in the dark earlier!). I think it was a cold weather protest.
The kids are both on tech bans for various reasons. My casserole was a disaster but that was my fault. I hate wasting food though.
I've had the heating on most of the day but still feel chilled to the bone. I wish it would warm up a bit.
More doom and gloom from work in the pipeline. I'm hoping there's not a u turn on the u turn on my role! That's a great start to the weekend for everyone.
Despite all that, I have managed to tidy and organise the kitchen. The casserole replacement meal was nice. I've sorted out a few bits as well. I managed to sit and read for a bit. Another item has been paid for. Still freezing here even with the heating on 🥶

Also feeling the cold. Heating has been on constant here for three days and the house still hasn't made it past 18 degrees (thermostat is set to 19.5) . All in dressing gowns at moment and big oodies as despite the shocking numbers on our smart meter we aren't that warm either. Hope you are both okay @jwil and @beanielou as the forecasts and temps aren't fantastic are they.
Sorry to hear more worry at work. The not knowing and constant changing of the story makes it so much harder to deal with and just adds the pressure on. Glad you managed to have a sit and a read for a whileJan 18 Joint debts 35,213

Another vote for Roll on Spring.
Sorry to read of your pants day especially the work stuff. Some work places seem to forget that there are real people affected by their decisions and there's nothing more stressful than uncertainty and the unknown.Nov/Dec 24 £39 564
