Thank youteapot2 said:Glad you feel a bit better today, hope you can rest and recover over the weekend. Good news re DHs job and those sales.
Rest and relaxation over the weekend is definitely planned. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -
Just catching up with your news . Great news about DH being permanent puts some worries to bed . Sorry you aren’t feeling so good , hopefully a restful day at home with the DC will help . Don’t worry about little Jwil’s arm , my DGS 12 broke his in the summer and once he was in his cast all went well . Enjoy your time off next week .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

I'll be fine once little jwil has his full cast on, I'm just overly cautious at the moment as it's only bandaged with a cast on the bottom, so they gave loads of warnings about how to manage it, and what not to do. I hope DGS is fully recovered now. "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee1 -

Try not to worry too much about little jwils arm. I am sure you are looking after him and school obviously has plans in place although not relevant now as its half term.Congratulations to your dh on being made permanent at his job.Sorry to hear you have the lurgy. Get well soon - rest, rest and fluids are my prescription. If its a cold I had a friend that swore by boiled lemonade but didnt seem to do much when I tried it. Anything is worth a try though.3

Flash back to being doctored as a child with hot brown (ni thing) lemonade. I have a friend who swears by microwaved lemonade. Personally I prefer proper lemons but hot lemonade does seem to work. Of course like many things it could be psychological & also comforting for the stomach.1

Once he's got his proper cast on I'll be fine, and in actual fact am now as he's off school now.ladyholly said:Try not to worry too much about little jwils arm. resting and plenty of fluids is working so far. I'm not sure boiled lemonade is for me, but I expect most warm drinks will be good enough.
We would be given a spoonful of buttercup syrup watered down with warm water.in_need_of_direction said:Flash back to being doctored as a child with hot brown (ni thing) lemonade. I'm not sure that's for me. I'm happy with honey and lemon. I tend to think that most warm drinks would be ok. I was contemplating buying some ribena today but didn't in the end.
