Ahhh I see, what a good idea. I already send my spare change to a ‘spare change account’ original eh?! I’ve got just over £50.00 in there and haven’t missed that money. I was going to put that towards the CC debt. What I might also do is, say if I was going to go out for a coffee, but don’t, because I’m being frugal, I might transfer that money over, as if I had bought the coffee. I was also doing prolific surveys and made £40.00 on those, I could put that money to it. Although saying that there haven’t been any surveys on for weeks now.
Thanks again 😊2 -

DH was back to work today and me and the kids went to lunch with friends which was nice. So much for my two weeks of not going anywhere or seeing anyone! I've realised that the only day I don't have plans (depending on what we do over the weekend) is Thursday. I don't really know how that happened! I was really hoping to hibernate a bit. No wonder I never get anything done. At least I'll hopefully have my leave in January, though I've already had to switch one day as I've been asked to attend an event.
I've identified a few bits that I am going to list, and will try and get those done this weekend. I noticed a new car boot sale which would have been good to try but I'm not prepared to pay £12 a pitch so will wait for the summer ones to start again."If you can dream it, you can do it". Glad you had a great Christmas 🎄 Well done for getting straight back on it afterwards. If I could hibernate this time of year I definitely would.I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)3

I've been up and about early again this morning. I've finally caught up on surveys. I've decided against doing a well paying one that was estimated at around 90 minutes long. I think an hour is my max. I've done similar ones before and they are asking for a lot of thinking too, and it's too much for me at the moment
I've ordered little miss a new mattress this morning, so we'll hopefully pick that up later or tomorrow, and can also hopefully get the old one to the tip whilst DH is off this weekend. I've gone through TCB and also redeemed some nectar points against it so that's a little saving.
DH and I are off to see if we can find some new sofas today as well. I've been keeping an eye on marketplace for the last few months but nothing is really coming up, so we'll go have a look in the sales. Our current ones were free on market place a few years ago so they've done us well, but one is worn through now and the other the stitching is going. They aren't comfortable any more so it's time.
I'm trying to get all my spending done this year so I can have a frugal year next year
Bin and recycling day today, and I'm quite pleased to see we haven't really put a lot extra out. I've saved back some cardboard as it's better to spread that out over a few collections, and I've kept all the used wrapping paper to use as packaging materials. All the delivery boxes will be reused as well so we don't produce a lot of extra waste. I just need to get on with the listing so I can try and reduce the pile!
I spent some of my gift vouchers on some glass food storage containers and silicon yoghurt pot lids because I really know how to liveI also got a cardigan, and some books, and will save the rest until I need something (or until books on my wishlist go on offer
)
