Happy Sunday.  I was up earlier than planned, and feel a bit CBA today, so I'm just going to snuggle up and chill.  I've got the last of the bedding in the wash so at least that will be done with the exception of our duvet which I'll do tomorrow.

I'm feeling the urge to ramp up the decluttering next year.  Despite getting rid of lots, everywhere is still rammed and it's very frustrating.  There's loads of kids stuff around which they never use, so I need to try and persuade them to get rid. I can do another sweep of my stuff too, though I've got the least in the household.  Everywhere gets so grubby as it's always such a huge job to move everything to clean, and I am either short of time, or it just seems too much effort half the time.
Feeling the same. I think the decs and extra food, shopping, gifts, clutter etc at this time of year makes everything so much harder on the senses. Also I am guessing that your littles are at the age where if you get it out they might play for half an hour but they are moving on from actually using most of it that often but not ready to let go.

I think they'd be willing to get rid of some, it's more the overwhelm of checking it all and trying to find the missing bits!

Sorry you are struggling too.  It is harder at this time of year with all the extra stuff.  I just need to motivate myself to get on with it.  It might be easier in my time off in January when there's no one else around and I'll have some space to work.

A lazy day today mostly reading.  At least the beds are done now which is another hated job.  Little miss has been tidying up her room at a threat of losing her electronics.  At least I can see the floor now so I can hoover tomorrow.

The worst job.  I have sympathy with you.  I need to do little miss's again today as she coughed herself sick last night.  Coverless duvets are a gamechanger, someone needs to invent an easy way of doing sheets next :D

I had a text from friends last night saying they were going to pop in today, so that's given me the kick up the rear I needed to finally get everything tidied.

I've packed away the decorating stuff for the bathroom, we haven't finished, but it's annoying.  I've tucked it into the airing cupboard so that it's easily accessible.  Bathroom cleaned, and hoovered upstairs and down.  I've tidied up in the middle room where there was some stuff just dumped, and cleared a few bits from the front room.

I've washed the dog bed, and now got my duvet in the wash. I just need to tidy up the kitchen and organise the Christmas food, and then that will be everything done I think.  Why I don't just get on with it instead of procrastinating all the time I just don't know!  That's loads of things ticked off my mental to do list, and it's only taken a couple of hours.  It will also make me more inclined to start the decluttering after Christmas, when I don't feel like I need to tidy the whole house first.
