And now school is done too, hurrah! I'm very much looking forward to a slow couple of weeks.
Last weekend was very busy, I went to meet a friend on Friday and it was lovely to just be adults without the kids.
Saturday was my work Christmas meal, and Sunday we went to visit a relative and went to 2 NT places to see the decorations. It was lovely.
Work has been extremely busy but I managed to get everything I wanted to done before I finished, so I don't have anything hanging over me. I had submitted my consultation response and got a non-answer back really. We're not likely to find out til end Jan/ February now though which is yet more delay. I won't believe I'm safe until they publish the final structures. I am hopeful though, and I think that things that have happened over the last couple of weeks have highlighted that my role is quite important, and that I have a lot of knowledge that others don't.
Today I've been to little miss's service which was lovely and finished all the wrapping. So much for having it all done by DecemberThis weekend we are going to get the fresh food and then that will be it shopping wise. I need to clean the house, as that has slipped recently, but once that is done, I will be chilling and plan on doing not a lot at all over these two weeks. I just want to relax and potter around at home.

I'm looking forward to the end of year roundup. I'm so proud of myself for tracking all my spending this year! It will be interesting to see, as I've not made any particular efforts to be frugal this year, and want to do more next year. I think next year I will be focussing on building my savings back up again, and trying to spend less.
My childcare has fallen through so I need to sort out new for next year. I've managed to get little miss into clubs for most days next half term so that's cheaper than the childcare which is good. I try and have 2 days a week where I don't have to do afternoon pickup to allow for meetings etc. I'll still have to do it when she's in clubs, but that hour makes a huge difference, and we don't get too many meetings later in the day.
Our laptop has been playing up a bit the last few days. So I have an urgent task to back it up and make sure I've moved any photos off it. I emailed myself my financial spreadsheets the other day so have those in an emergency. Hopefully I can give it a good cleanup and it will be ok again."If you can dream it, you can do it".
