Thank you everyone for the good wishes. They are very much appreciated
I am absolutely shattered! Little jwil did have his op yesterday and all has gone well thankfully. It was a very tough and emotionally draining day though. I'm waiting for a call from school to discuss how they will support him the next couple of weeks, as he doesn't have a full cast yet and he is under strict orders not to bump it or even move it too much. At least it's half term soon, and he'll have the full cast on by the time that ends.
I asked to finish work early this afternoon to try and have a break, but then we realised that he was missing part of the sling, so another visit to the hospital to get a replacement.
Tomorrow I have little miss's appointment, so need to try and get my head around that. I have booked the day off though, so if that doesn't take too long then maybe I can relax a bit in the afternoon. Wednesday I am speaking at an event which I could do without right now to be honest, but I'm sure it will be fine and I did manage to finish preparing my presentation today.
DH sold a load of stuff at the weekend, so that has been packed and posted.
SW hasn't been happening over the last few days as it's mostly been grab and go, and I just haven't had the brain power to think about cooking. I did observe that I just don't enjoy some of that food so much any more, so maybe my tastes are changing!
I think I'm heading off to bed, I just want to sit in a dark room and escape into a book to distract my brain. DH can take over nursing duties.
