I was supposed to be going out to a meeting today, but it's more relevant to a colleague than me, so I've cancelled my attendance. It gives me a whole day free (at the moment) to tackle my to do list, so I'm planning on getting stuck in. I've got loads to be getting on with so hopefully I can make some headway.
I've put the heating on for a bit this morning as it's very chilly!
I didn't sleep well last night, so am shattered today."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee5 -

Did you sleep better @beanielou and @jwil? I did. I realise I needed a blanket on top of the duvet, then I was fine...If you have built castles in the air, your work should not be lost; that is where they should be. Now put the foundations under them

My save the change account reached £25 the other day so I've sent that to PBs. My usual PADs otherwise.
Work has been a struggle this week. I'm glad it's Thursday. A lovely colleague I work very closely with is leaving so that's going to be a loss.
We found out that a dear family friend died at the weekend. We knew they weren't well, but it was still a shock. The funeral is on a Friday in a couple of weeks so at least we'll be able to attend without having to juggle work.
Little miss has been begging to walk home alone so I've let her the last couple of days. She's quite happy and it will be a positive if I can reduce my work day a little bit by not having to do the afternoon school run. I don't mind the morning one as it gets my exercise in and out of the way.
I made a big pot of cowboy stew in the slow cooker yesterday. It's nice, but quite liquidy. My soup the other day came out more like a thick stew. I'm not a great cook
I'm trying to stick to plan, but snacking and comfort eating is lingering. I really don't want to lose all my good work, and want to continue! I'm definitely finding it harder with the change of seasons. I want to eat more carby/starchy foods, and they don't seem to agree with me - I lose (and feel) better if I just focus on fruit and veg with some meat/fish. I need to make sure that any rice/pasta/potatoes/grains are a small part of the meal, not the main part! Chocolate has been sneaking in too, so I need to make sure I don't keep it in the house, there are other things I can eat to get a sweet fix without triggering a binge.
I have continued my exercise though and going to group is definitely helping me keep a lid on things - they'd normally be much worse than they are!
DH has sold a few more bits, one which has been packed in a box that has been hanging around for ages as it's just a bit of an awkward size - I consider that a double win"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do".
