I managed to get myself back on track yesterday, so that was good. I am out this morning so will be able to avoid snacking easily as well. This weekend I need to come up with my winter plans, so that I have a stash of nice comforting foods that I can easily throw together. I have a few SW ready meals in the freezer for emergencies, but I should also make some things for myself.
DH sold another couple of items so they have been packed and posted.
Although not planned, it's nice not having to do the school run this week. It makes life easier! Though I then have to force myself to exercise, so swings and roundabouts!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". You are doing so well with getting back on track - I find the slow cooker is my best friend in winter; curries, stews and jacket potatoes are my 'go to's, all adaptable to the SW plan. I used to follow a few pages on Facebook that were SW friendly too but I very rarely use SM now.
Your PADS are amazing and reducing the car balance regularly is fantastic - are you making physical payments to reduce the balance or saving the money to the side for later payment?

I was going to suggest using your SC to make lots of HM ready meals for the freezer so these are easy to grab the night before ready to be reheated in the microwave for lunch. You could also make extra of your evening meal and then have left overs the next day for lunch.
If you like the SW ready meals they include the recipe on the package so could be worth batch cooking some of those as well. Personally I don't actually like the ones I've tried, also think they are very expensive although by adding extra veg for example you could make each one do you 2 lunches rather than one.
You'd be very welcome to join in on the SW thread on here if you like. You may even get some more ideas for easy meals. The thread is here: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6577739/lose-weight-with-slimming-world-in-2025-you-know-you-want-to#latest3 -

I did pull out the slow cooker this week for a casserole so I will definitely have to use it more.
I'm making the actual payments, I send half my PAD to savings and the other half straight to the card."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee2 -

I find the SW ready meals handy, and try most of them, but there's only a couple that I go back to. I'm not keen on many of them. I don't think I'd like to make them myself, but should definitely make things that I do like more often!

Happy Thursday! What a day it's been, so many problems! People look to me to solve stuff, and sometimes I just think, I'm not a manager, why me? Most of the time I don't mind, but sometimes I feel a bit put on (and worry that I'm overstepping!).
I am very glad it's my weekend now. DH got some good news in that he's back out where he was again next week, so he's relieved (and so am I!). It will be much easier than him having to do lots of rotating shifts. It also means he won't spend the whole weekend worrying. Hopefully it's a long term thing again.
I'm out for dinner tomorrow so am looking forward to that. DH and I will be able to spend some time together tomorrow as well which will make a nice change. He's suggesting we go out for a bit which will be nice to get some fresh air.
