Transferring mine to Lloyds to get half of the 2nd year of a 2 year fixed ISA at 5.55%. :)

I’ve been trying to do this (applied twice) but Lloyds keep sending my transfer request to Yorkshire Building Society rather than VM. I can only assume that they got confused between YBS and Yorkshire Bank as the account has an 05 sort code. My application to transfer definitely selected Virgin Money.

I’m going to have to raise a complaint to get them do it properly and backdate the interest.

I have just had the same happen, I am doing an online transfer from Kent Reliance to Virgin Money, I have just received an email from Kent Reliance saying that Yorkshire Bank has requested a transfer. I have no dealings with Yorkshire Bank and never have, so where this has come from I don't. I did get an email from Virgin Money confirming the transfer had been requested.

Yorkshire Bank were part of Clydesdale Bank and are now part of Virgin Money. So they were kind of right! Just wait and see what happens, I doubt there will be an issue with bank names.

I have just come off the phone to both Kent Reliance and Virgin Money, the transfer request is all correct and Yorkshire Bank is in fact Virgin Money but they (Virgin Money) haven't yet changed the names!

Checked on the Virgin app this morning. Still showing as the Exclusive Issue 7 with the 5.85% rate. Interest has been paid though.

Yes, same here.  The email said it would take a couple of days to sort itself out.

Virgin Money told Principality BS they 'don't recognise the account number' ISA 7 (5.85% ending 29/11) on my OH's ISA transfer request - so PBS have 'cancelled the request'.

PBS say contact VM, but don't provide any reference or detail on whereabouts the rejection at VM has come from.

OH's messaged PBS offering photographic proof that the PBS ISA transfer form she provided shows the correct sort code and account number, to enable PBS to pursue it.

We've (today 01/12) messaged PBS arguing that it's their responsibility to progress the transfer.

    Waiting response.

The PBS 4.70% EA flex ISA has a 5 day funding window which will have passed shortly.

I can see two complaints running soon.
  • Credit where it is due.
I had a VM ISA 7 mature on Friday and on the same day I requested a transfer of the balance into a new Moneybox Easy Access ISA. This afternoon I received a message to say that it was already in my Moneybox account. It also included about 1.3 days interest (assuming Virgin's 4.51%).

PBS came back again with 'take it up with VM'.

We went back with, 'VM says the info we provided is correct; but doesn't 'appear' to match info PBS submitted'.

05/12 We asked PBS to resubmit the request accurately or reply with a complaint reference.

06/12 funds have arrived in PBS account. No further message from PBS, yet.
