Hope the move goes to plan and you can get some down time as a family. You've all had an emotionally exhausting time and have been on high alert re DD1 by the sounds of things? Maybe wait till you are settled in a bit before making decisions re work hours?

Hello! I’m all moved in - well, mostly. I’ve still got some things at the flat but I don’t think there will be many more trips to go. My car is being repaired today & tomorrow from when my colleague hit it last month so I’m going to drop it off this morning and then walk to the flat and work from there. It’s only a mile from the garage, but also there is currently nowhere for me to work at home as the house is a mess 🤣

It’s Friday! I’m currently watching all 3 girls play on the PlayStation while OH is asleep but he’ll be getting up soon. Then I plan to get my pyjamas on and sleeeeeeep! I am very tired.

We went to my mum’s house for dinner earlier which was lovely. My brother & nephew were also there. I have brought leftovers home for OH 😇 including pudding!

Juggling work, parenting, a car repair and a house move has not been fun at all this week but hopefully after this weekend my flat will be completely empty and we’ll be able to use the kitchen again, properly. I hate the clutter in there right now but it’s understandable considering 90% of my flat is currently in the house. DD1 & DD2 had their first night in the house a couple of nights ago and it’s gone well so far, although I think DD2 was slightly homesick last night bless her.

Still no sign of exchanging contracts but it’s been 12 weeks since I received my buyer’s offer so it’s got to be soon surely?! My solicitors e-mailed me yesterday with an enquiry about the car park gates which they’ll be discussing with the managing agents. I’m hoping that’s all that is left outstanding 🙏🏼

Money is tight but I’m hanging on in there. That’s all I can say really 🤣

Wow, what a weekend! Me & OH have worked so hard on getting the house tidier. The kitchen was our main focus and it now looks so much better 😍 We have decided which of our things we want to keep, and which things we’re going to put on selling sites or take to the tip 😊 and we managed to do it all without arguing 🤣

We had all 3 girls with us this weekend but they were as good as gold while we cracked on with the decluttering and tidying. We did take them out yesterday for some shopping & dinner as it’s DSD’s birthday, so it wasn’t too much of a boring weekend for them. She chose Wagamamas for dinner which we all love so that was nice. They have also spent time at the local park over the last 2 days 😊 DD1’s clothes are filthy!

Today OH’s mum, OH’s brother and my mum have been round to give DSD her cards & pressies so it was nice to see them all. OH dropped DSD back at her mum’s about 2 hours ago and since then I’ve been scrubbing the bathrooms. DD1 is out with her friends (although she’s walking home now) and DD2 has been playing games on her tablet.

Back to work tomorrow and then I need to swing by Next to pick up some new school shoes for DD1 as she’s ruined hers (3rd pair in 4 months!) and then I’ve got someone going round to the flat to give the oven a professional clean. OH is also back tomorrow so as he works nights he will stay awake until about 6pm and then he’ll go to bed.

Right, off to cook our dinner - we are having chicken & bacon pie tonight 😋

The estate agents called me yesterday and nearly gave me a heart attack! The woman’s tone sounded like she was about to give me some bad news, and it took her ages to explain why she was calling. My heart was pounding as I thought she was going to tell me my buyer wanted to pull out of buying the flat! Anyway, it turns out she’d spoken to the buyer’s solicitors, who said they were waiting for responses from my solicitors, and asked me to chase them up, which I did. I’m still waiting for them to respond to me even though it’s been over 24 hours since I contacted them. They’re usually quick at getting back to me.

The oven is now squeaky clean and tomorrow the carpets will be squeaky clean too. I just need to empty one of the storage cupboards and the girls’ arts & crafts drawers and then everything will officially be out of the flat 😊

I’ve let all bank & credit card companies know I’ve moved house, as well as my doctors surgery, my dentist, the girls’ schools and my work, and I’ve also paid for 12 months worth of post redirection.

Tomorrow I’m going to work from home so I can have a small lay in 😁 The girls are with their dad but I’ll have them back tomorrow ❤️

Hello! TGIF 😁

The buyer’s solicitors are waiting for 2 responses from the freeholder/landlord, and they’re also waiting for the buyer’s mortgage lender to officially confirm they’re ok with the fact the flat has no builders warranty. After that we can exchange contracts 😊 The carpets are squeaky clean and we just have one more trip to do before everything is out of there. I’ve got someone going in this weekend to do a deep clean of the bathroom, kitchen, and the furniture that’s being left as I just don’t have time. She is the lady who cleaned my oven and co-incidentally she now lives round the corner from me.

I went bowling with some work colleagues after work yesterday. I won the first game, but came 3rd in the second. We also got fed so that was good 😊 A nice free evening out! While I was there OH took all 3 girls out to crazy golf.

My 2 girls are going back to their dad’s tonight as it’s his weekend with them, and DSD is having a sleepover at her nan’s house, so me & OH will have the house all to ourselves! And he’s not working 😊 Woo hoo!

Thank you! OH and I are scared that something will go wrong and the flat sale won’t go through, but we are trying to stay positive!

Last night we had salmon wellington with dauphinoise potatoes and veggies and it was STUNNING! OH cooked, and he’s cooking shepherds pie for us tonight too 😍 yummmm. This morning he gave me flowers, chocolates & a bottle of Baileys for Valentine’s Day, as well as a card, and I felt bad because I only got him a card! 😭😭

We went out for a cheap breakfast this morning and then emptied the flat, so now there’s nothing more to do in there except take meter readings on the last day and write the buyer a little note with things like when bin day is etc. I thought I’d feel sad about it but I honestly don’t! The cleaner lady will be going in tomorrow so it’ll look beautiful once she’s worked her magic 😊

I sold DD2’s dress for my brother’s wedding for £15 and I sold my slow cooker for £10 to one of my colleagues, so made some pennies! I also returned a pair of jeans for DD1 as they were too short.

I popped to M&S to get some posh biscuits for my friend and his family as I’m driving 2 hours to see them tomorrow, and they’re cooking us a chicken pie for lunch. I’ve not seen them in over 2 years so I’m looking forward to catching up with them! They had a baby last year so I can’t wait for cuddles 🥰

OH is back at work tonight so I’ll be chilling with DSD after dinner while he has a nap. He will drop her off at her mum’s house on his way to work. So I’ll be in the house by myself tonight, which is strange! I’m used to a house full now 😂

Hello! Still no update with regards to the flat sale 😭😭 The whole thing is doing my head in now to be honest.

It’s half term and the girls had a sleepover at my mum’s house last night. From the updates I’ve received they’ve had a really good time 😊 My nephew slept over too. I’m about to go round there to have dinner and then I’ll bring the girls home. OH is in bed until 8pm and then he’ll pick up DSD from her nan’s house. He’ll be going to work shortly after that bless him so I’ll batch cook a tuna pasta bake and will put some in his flask for work. It’ll help to have some meal prep done for Friday to be honest as we have a hair appointment at 5:45pm so we will be rushing around for that and there’ll be no time for cooking!

Not much else to report except I spent over £100 at Tesco today 😭 We’ve got all 3 kids for the next 5 days and feeding everyone is spenny 😂😂
