Parking fine during medical emergency

Because I've absolutely no idea what's going to happen, if I'm going to get dragged through a court, if there's a chance I will lose, and I can't think rationally enough (being absolutely exhausted from dealing with relentless overnight hypo alarms with my son for months) to know what the right thing to do is, being so so terrified about him getting super ill and this is being piled on top by a ridiculous parking firm, I'm at max capacity and each letter pushes me further. (sorry, lost my mind slightly! ha)Grizebeck said:Why you bothering so much with this little parking firm

This reply of yours above is what sidetracked us into thinking you had already complained about the PCN to the actual landowner, especially as you were told that it was plan A, so we thought that you had followed plan AMrPea said:I emailed Plan A to their info email address over 2 weeks ago but haven't had a reply. I've just had a reminder letter saying the discounted rate has expired (although then appeal rejection letter said some time in December). Do I need to do anything now or just keep ignoring?
It would seem that you didn't do plan A, because you are still struggling to find the landowner details, as are we now that more information is now provided
The reply you received from Car Parkers was in response to plan B , an appeal, not plan A, a complaint , so no wonder it was rejected, it was never going to be accepted, no profit in the latter
Yes the BPA is the initials of the trade body, acronyms and initialisms are explained in the 5th post in the newbies FAQ sticky thread in announcements, top of the forum
CPA is Car Parkers
Complain online to the BPA AOS compliance team about the incorrect wordings and the fact that they may have breached the latest BPA CoP, annex F1 as was mentioned earlier

I see, I realise I've messed this up not being able to find the landowner.Gr1pr said:

I will write a complaint to the BPA AOS compliance team. Is there an example of this complaint anywhere so I don't get it wrong again?1 -
I see, I realise I've messed this up not being able to find the landowner.SOME IDEAS FOR DETERMINING WHO OWNS THE LAND1. Google searches2. If a retail park, check on any signage which lists the on-site outlets3. Ask retailers on the site if there is a managing agent4. Ask retailers on the site to whom do they pay rent5. Contact the local authority and ask who pays the non-domestic/business rate for the car park (some councils have a spreadsheet on their website)6. Contact the local Valuation Office and ask if they know. They often have a website which might provide the information7. Contact The Land Registry and for around £3 they should be able to provide definitive detail8. If you haven't already done so, give us the name of the car park/site/location, we may have seen other cases there.I will write a complaint to the BPA AOS compliance team. Is there an example of this complaint anywhere so I don't get it wrong again? The BPA will only entertain a complaint after you have complained (unsuccessfully) to the PPC first.
While I understand your concern about a potential court claim, you won't be 'dragged through the courts', it will simply be a case of the PPC telling the judge you owe them £x (and reasons why), and you saying 'no I don't' (and reasons why). The cost of losing in court would be around £212. No need to remortgage the house!
Chances of this getting to court - extremely unlikely. Do a search on 'Carparkers court' (or similar search terms), and see how few (if any) you manage to turn up. Please don't worry about this, the forum will guide you through it all. Try to have a peaceful Christmas break, you've enough to be dealing with without this rubbish. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

No, it's a bespoke complaint, mainly regarding those incorrect words, purporting to be an authority and not cancelling based on what you were told earlier about the latest BPA CoP and that annex wording you were pointed at ( that wording was new to me too ) which would have hopefully revealed a goodwill gesture by CPA
One previous reply by somebody talks about a place of safety, but that is nonsense where private parking companies operate, simply because they want £100 from the driver for the privilege of allowing people like yourself to use that off road space , hence your current trauma with Car Parkers in this aftermath , it may have been safe, but clearly not free and not friendly on a wallet or purse
The point lost on that other person was, just pull over and stop, if you can, dont spend time seeking out places where you won't get punished, but treat private places as hostile territory, with rules and punishments We have seen numerous cases of good samaritans helping people on private car parks and subsequently receiving private parking charges that parking companies wont cancel

Please just ignore them. Spend time with your son and family and wast no more time on this. I agree with @Grizebeck
There will be no court case.
Nothing to worry about!
See the pictures of letters to ignore, in the 4th post of the NEWBIES thread.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

You are overthinking this the operator is amateurish, it is the same one as the first car park in front of the shops, the signage does not comply, the paperwork is a joke, and the best advice is above this post, why make yourself so hyped up over a scammy letter, it isn't official, it isn't from an authority, it isn't a fine, it's no better that something on scam interceptors.3
