Well done on getting signed off the diabetic register @bubbs! Shame it's 7 years late! 🤣
I won't lie either. 😉 I've had a perfect day on plan until DH opened a bottle of wine. Just a couple of glasses but....
I've had a SW breakfast (fry up), Spanish omelette and salmon for dinner. Probably within syns as none in my food. 😁
Really jealous of all the holidays planned @Jellybaby. I'd just go and enjoy. Well done on getting your sunshine wardrobe finished @joedenise. ❤️😎0 -
Morning up, up early this morning as couldn't sleep knowing I had lots to get done today! Was up just after 4.30, showered and drinking my tea before 5am.
I've put the gammon in the SC to save having to cook it tomorrow, it's also easier to slice when it's cold. I've currently got a beef and horseradish stew in the pressure cooker which we'll have tonight with some mash.
Can't get to the oven for a while as DH is cooking bread; he's going to make a start on another loaf to cook tomorrow for DGD to take home with her as she absolutely loves sourdough! He makes one for her every time we see her.
Still need to make pastry for mince pies; cook sausage rolls and cheese and onion rolls (for DD1 and DGD).
I'd like to get the veg prepped ready for tomorrow as well.
Also need to cook a Manor House cake - we don't do Christmas cake as find it a bit heavy so this cake being a light fruit cake fits the bill.
I'm sure there's more on the list but that will do for now!
Today's plan:
B - mushroom omelette - P; S
L - corned beef sandwich - HEB; 5
D - beef stew, mash - P; S; F
HEA - milk
HEB - bread
Syns - LF spread 3; corned beef 2
Think that will do for today! Have a good one everyone.
I'll say Merry Christmas to you all in case I don't manage to get on tomorrow.0 -
Hi all, like you @joedenise I’m also cooking the hams and silverside today and prepping the veg. DS2 is rather shocked at the amount of veg but I know you’ll all get it 🤣 love a leftover fry up/hash in the days after 🤣
Had a glass of Prosecco and a few chocs as a friend popped in unexpectedly last night. No idea the syns but had hardly any throughout the day so not counting!
So far today I’ve had a sweet omelette with banana, raspberries and counting 1 syn for Kvarg and a tablespoon of toffee syrup. DS is out later and will be fed so might just have beans on toast as I can please myself.
I hope you all have a smashing time, however you celebrate and whatever you’re up to. Enjoy!0 -

@joedenise I hope you have managed to do your baking.
@Jellybaby beans on toast sounds good, will be eggs on toast here or perhaps a toastie for OH/fish finger sarnie for me.
@bubbs what a fantastic shop that is.
Nothing much prepared here, but won't eat 'til tea time and only us here. V. large chicken and piggies in fridge, everything else available as needed.
Have a the best day possible all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)0 -
I've finally got to the end of my to do list! Only thing not done is the Brussels but think they'll be better prepped just before we eat!
Mince pies don't look brilliant but not that bothered as I don't eat them! The pastry was bit too wet so ended up adding extra flour so think they'll be a bit hard.

I've been prepping since 3pm and just stopped for wine o'clock! 🤣I've cooked the gammon and put some soup on. Mince pies made and tonight's dinner sorted. I've done some veg and the stuffing but not all veg so will carry on in a moment. It's not been easy as I had to go in search of pastry cutters and cake tins which slowed me down. 😁
Amazing haul at the Company Shop @bubbs and you won't have any trouble using the voucher in the new year. 🤣
Food has been good so far. Scrambled eggs for breakfast, prawn jacket for lunch and probably just a little over on HEAs for cauliflower cheese with tonight's dinner. So syns just in LTL mayo and some cornflour. But the night is young! 🤣
Well done being so organised @joedenise and @Jellybaby.😇 Have a good rest this evening. You deserve it.
We eat mid afternoon tomorrow @maddiemay. It's early for us but it's a throw back to when the DGDs were young and had an afternoon nap while the adults ate.
Happy Christmas everyone. 🎅😘

I will be having some treats @bubbs just not mince pies - don't like them very much! Will definitely be having pigs in blankets, sausage rolls and cake. I've already been picking at the cake!
We'll be eating mid afternoon too @maman as DGD won't be here before mid-day as has a couple of hour drive to get here and doubt she'll want to eat a big meal immediately she gets here so we'll be spreading the food out over the afternoon with the main meal around 3pm probably.
DGD and I have a big bottle of Prosecco to share (it's a double sized bottle!). Hopefully DH will have a couple of glasses as well as don't think I want to be drinking a whole bottle!0
