    STS isn't bad after a sh*tty week @Jellybaby. 👍

Eating healthily has to be a positive @maddiemay. Hope you feel better soon, you've had a tough time lately. 🤗

Thanks for the pork pie recipe @bubbs. Is it a tin of chopped pork in the middle? 🤔

I've had another busy day. I'm so envious of you getting away to the sun
    @joedenise

We've decided to have a roast in the pub again tomorrow so no sandwiches for us @bubbs. 🤣

    Today's plan -
B- HEB porridge, HEA milk, raspberries (S), banana (F)
    L- vegetable soup (F, S), mackerel salad (P, S)
    S sausage casserole (P, F, S), penne (F)
Syns - Aldi sausages 1.5, weekend wine 😁

Morning all, it's a lovely bright morning today so have done a machine load of washing and got it blowing in the breeze on the line.  Hopefully it will dry and I won't need to put it on the airer or in the tumble dryer - only use the dryer if stuff is almost dry otherwise it's the airer.

Not going to do a proper roast today as of course it will be one on Wednesday - don't need 2 in a week!  So today's plan:

    B - fry up - P; S; F; 2
    D - lamb shanks; mash; veg - S; F; 3
    T - chicken fajitas - P; S; HEB

    HEA - milk
    HEB - wrap
    Syns - sausages 2; lamb shanks 3; may have a G&T or 2 tonight

    Have a good day everyone.

@maddiemay. Yes, the weather is dire.

Great night out with my girlfriends last night. Not SW friendly at all. Fantastic cheese soufflé. Beef wellington. Yum.

It's been really bright and clear here too @joedenise but cold and windy. I'm so pleased to have a washing machine back I've not put anything out yet. A load is on the airer and bedding is changed and ready to do tomorrow. 👍

I buy the Pek ham for Austrian ham hash @bubbs so just need to get some pease pudding.

Another day of extra syns. Breakfast (fry up) was fine and lunch (JP with tuna) but the roast out would have been synful. Never mind, I'll be back on plan tomorrow. Good when we can at this time of year. 😁

    Morning all,

Cold, wet and grey here at the moment - as usual!  Hoping to nip out shortly for bread and milk but planning to go to a smaller Lidls in the hope that it’s quieter 🤣. Picking up DS2 from his works pub crawl tonight 🙈. The ham is in the slow cooker so I’ve started prepping too.

I can’t remember if I’ve already said but I’m off for a few holidays towards the end of January - two weeks in Austria at family, six weeks in NZ with DS1, two weeks on my own in Melbourne. So I’m busy sorting flights, visas, insurance and trying to work out clothing that will go from one weather extreme to the other!  SW will be an as and when I can affair 🤣🤣🤣

    Today’s food:
    B - fruit and Kvarg 0.5 syns
L - tomato, lentil and garlic soup (a friend handed some in), soft pitta with cold meat and salad
D - baked smoked haddock, baby potatoes, broccoli, carrots, sweetcorn

    Have a great day all!
  • Hello all, Joedenise that sounds very scary re your DGS, hope he is recovering in hospital.

16.5 syns on Friday, so slightly over, as I'd forgotten how many syns it is to butter toast (which was my HEB) and that cooked apple (which I had with pork) was syns too and then I had two drinks in the evening. Not terrible though.

    11.5 syns on Saturday.

Yesterday I would have been was at 3 syns for the day but we had guests and I had 25g crisps for 6 syns (I sneakily weighed my own into a separate bowl) and then a portion of apple strudel and a scoop of icecream for dessert. Not bothered counting up the dessert as obviously over but it's inevitable at this time of year I think.

I'll weigh in (early) tomorrow and be happy to STS and then I'll not weigh in til the 2nd or 3rd Jan and hope to have not put on too much! Back on it fully after that.

I'm on a phone break but I'll check in next Tues as I'm working then. Have a lovely Christmas all!

Afternoon all, been a bit busy this morning.  Was on the phone to my sister for about an hour, did a machine load of washing (not more now until at least the end of the week!) which is out on the line - it was very bright and blowy first thing but has come over grey and miserable.  Think I'm going to end up putting it in the tumble dryer!  Also needed to pop out and get a few bits that I'd forgotten!  If we haven't got something then we'll be going without - I've got enough to do tomorrow without popping to the shops!

Pleased to say I finished my skirt so now have a matching skirt and top as well as a sundress to take on holiday next month!  I usually end up buying a few new bits before holidays but decided to just make use of the fabrics I already had.  So glad to have got my sewing mojo back!

It's definitely a case of good when you can and careful when you can't at this time of year @Jellybaby and @Bluegreen143.

    Today's plan:

    B - Weetabix, milk - HEA2; HEB
    D - pork steak, mash, green veg - P; S; F; 1
    T - cauliflower cheese, chips - S; F; 3.5

    HEA1 and 2 - milk
    HEB - Weetabix
Syns - apple sauce 2; cheese sauce mix 3.5

    Have a good day everyone.

    Evening all 😁

Well done on finishing your sewing Denise, not long before you will be in the sun 😁

I had to go diabetic nurse today 🙄 i said i don't know why i am coming here as reversed in 2017, she said what medication do you take? I said none! She said i will take you off the register, i said i have been there so many times before and still not done!
I did say also i was disappointed as my appointment was at 8.30 i thought i would be straight in, NO!! 8.55!! she said the man before you had not listened as she was surprised he was alive with his sugar readings 😱😱
As i was walking out the door , i turned round and said oh! forgot they said i had high cholesterol , i said i cannot understand why as i do SW, she said she likes SW , i said so do i as it's not a diet and we both said at the same time it's a lifestyle change, i said i hate it when people say diet as it's not  diet, anyhow she looked and she said cut off is 5.2 and mine is 5.3  , i said well i can't change what i eat, and when she looked it had been that for 3 yrs, so she said i should go on a statin, i said i don't want too, she said it could be hereditary, Mum hasn't got it  nor did Dad  . See how it goes but when they said hight thought they meant7/8 not 0.1 over !

    Food today

    Picky plate
Doule cheese burger, hexb , half hexa , chips and salad

Not going to lie i had some chocs this afternoon 😁
