#12 Kim_13 adding £272.84
Total for August (hopefully the last update!) £908.45

Good morning!
It's payday for me today, which means my August (spreadsheet) is complete.
I said previously that I wouldn't include round ups (where my bank rounds up my spends and adds the difference to my savings account) in this challenge, and between Jan-Jul that equates to around £70 a month. Happy to leave this out of my count as it gets swallowed into my spends so I don't really notice it, just a nice bonus.
This month, I decided to boost it by manipulating the system a little, purely because this linked savings account has a better rate than my instant saver where I have a small emergency fund and I knew I would have underspends this month. In doing so, I've added an extra £270 to my savings and I think this is significant enough to warrant including.
I'm going to do the same through September, with a bigger budget against it, making it proactive saving rather than passive, basically until I have filled those savings accounts at the preferential rate.
#50 t2rry therefore declaring an additional £270 for August please
That should bring my August total up to £1,070Debt Free I FFEF I Building Savings I 2025 Plan:- Regular Savings £9,800/£10,000

Think I’m over my planned total now and delighted with how this challenge has kept me focused. Thanks for all the hardwork that goes into this.2 -
Good morning everyone. #1 Declaring a total of £2000 for August as I have just transferred a further £1000 in to savings.Spreadsheet updated. My first pension goes in tomorrow and as we don’t have any large payments going out in September I am hoping to put £2000 away then too. I think I will exceed my target this year.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards. An update for August please: #27 Topscooby £1000 Getting more and more difficult to find accounts with decent interest rates to put our savings into. The last couple of years have seen a steady decline in the interest we are earning back from our savings whilst, at the same time, everything is getting more expensive to buy. Never mind, we shall keep going and look for more ways to economise and reduce our spending.£12k in 2025 #27 ( £10,000 / £12000 ) 🤞
£12k in 2024 #18 (£14,000 / £12,000)…Goal surpassed 🙏

Pay day means £1600 saves for August. A potential bill for lift replacement may mean I’ll have to pause my savings plan. Fingers crossed it’s not as high as expected.
