Tallgirl for April #49
Premium Bonds £100
Annual interest MB 358
S&S ISA £10
Regular Saver £300
Cash ISA £511
Total £1279
Bigger than normal due to annual interest being paid out but that will be monthly now ongoing. I am however about to cash it all in so I can buy a house in Denmark as I am moving back after 31 years. Scary but also very excited. Easier to buy before I get the cash for this house but eventually I will be putting it all back into savings.

lots of vet costs this month…
thank you@ penny_less - I'm so sorry to hear about your vet costs. I really hope things improve for your animal & finances soon, as you've been doing so well. There's always some unexpected spanner in the works at some point with animals
Well done everyone for the great saving efforts. It's an inspiration to us all

I just updated the conditional formatting in the spreadsheet for the column that colour indicates our progress so far -
- Greater than 0.4167 (or 41.67%) is dark green.
- Light green is between 0.33 and 0.4167 (because some post their monthly updates at the start of the following month (me, eg!) and some put their savings away at the start (enthusiasticsaver, eg!)
- Amber is above zero but under the 0.33 (under a third of the year in other words). So if this is you, you are just behind the four month (end of April) stage, averaged over the year
- Red is zero or less
Save £12k in 2025 #2 I saved £14,660.97 of £6000 or 244.35% of my target. The 2026 Save £12k in 2026 thread is here
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I finished the year at £2880.99/£3000 or 96.03% of my annual spend so I am sticking with a £3000 annual budget for 2026
I also Reverse Meal Plan on that thread and grow much of our own premium price fruit and veg, joining in on the grow your own in 2026 discussion thread
My keep within our budget diary is here9 -
Thanks for the conditional formatting @Suffolk_lass and yes I do tend to announce at the beginning of the month as I put money away as soon as we get paid so I am not tempted to spend it. Sometimes I put more in nearer the end but not this month as we have finally booked our river cruise for next May on the Danube with a Vienna extension and a week in Gran Canaria this November to get away from our winter so we had to pay the deposits yesterday. I will be upping the savings from June but some of this is spoken for.
