Dizzycap said:Well done with the savings so far folks xxx# No.34 Dizzycap beginning with £5423.18 for January 2025 of a 12k yearly total.I'm only including savings left over from wages after any other savings payments have been made i.e. pension contributions, regular savers, investments, and other MSE saving challenges etc. I also begin my yearly 12k savings challenge in September and usually finish in August which allows me leeway to complete this challenge by the end of the year, should things not go as planned.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
OS Grocery Challenge in 2025 I am at £1286.68/£3000 or 42.89% of my annual spend so far

#16 declaring £1,707.46 for January.
Would have been higher but a few one-off expenses came this month - home insurance, going on a stag-do in May - along with a massive supermarket spend during the week knocked it down a fair amount. S&S ISA and interest on savings gains made a bit of it back though.
Thanks for running this. I've done this challenge a few times in the past. Our mortgage is up for renewal early next year so these savings will be going into paying that down after that - hopefully not too big a jump in rate. Will join one of the MFW challenges instead next year I reckon.
@Suffolk_lass - I think the spreadsheet was linked earlier in the thread already because I'm definitely looking at what appears to be the correct one2 -

#59 KrsyW - £1,743.16 for January
And that's January out of the way! Played around a bit with my spreadsheets, increased my pension salary sacrifice and now I'm pretty sure that everything is planned out for the year ahead.
No doubt something will come along that changes everything, as it always does, but hopefully I should be prepared for most eventualities!Emergency Fund: £15,000/£15,000 Mortgage Overpayment Fund: £36,000/£72,000

Not a bad start to the year and next month will be better with a sizeable ISA maturing.

edit to say - You are absolutely right @bsms1147. It is linked to at the top of screen four. I've been back in and hidden the unused rows. Maybe @enthusiasticsaver would be willing to put the link in the first post by editing it, so everyone can find it easily.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
