- did aqua aerobics
- posted a letter on the way home. Has anyone else noticed fewer collection times? It took me a while to find a letter box with a 4pm collection, most others have just a 9am.
- did some tidying in the bedroom, vacuumed, emptied upstairs bins.
- relocated several other items around the house that had 'wandered' from their home.
- researched wheat-free american-style biscuits (a bit like scones) to have with soup (made squash and pea soup, which we had with German sausage in as they were prominent in L1d1). Found a recipe which just used oats, margarine, an egg, a bit of milk and some baking powder; I topped them with a bit of grated cheese and they were yummy with the soup. I've promised a gf chocolate cake for a family gathering this weekend so I'm really trying to save on flour as I haven't had replies from the few places I emailed for Orgran.

Didn't collect the prescription as I can do that tomorrow on the way back from volunteering, but I did almost all the rest of my listie. I've sautéd the shallots, some bendy carrots and a lot of celery so I can easily make soup another time.Yes, Narco, I have noticed that later collections are sparse around here too but we have a hit and miss post office about 100 yards away with a postbox outside it with a 5.00pm collection so I don't mind about the other postboxes all showing 9.00am as the only collection. What I have noticed though is that we never get any post on Saturdays any more, seldom much on Monday but a large bundle on Tuesdays.Better is good enough.6

Morning all. Hope you're all ok.
I was in WAC from 4am so got up and sorted admin quietly before paid stuff. Dailies and dog walk are done. Kitchen sink scrubbed and I've finished cleaning downstairs windows.Waiting for a delivery now. Once that's here I need to pop out to collect knitted poppies for a display at local memorial. Also need to take some rubbish to the tip before more paid stuff later.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
Washing on the line. Bin out - and this week, thanks to the allotment clearing, it is full.
WUALTD, cleaned vacuum filter and it's pegged out too, in a net bag. When I bought a new one I kept the old one...so now I can let it dry thoroughly.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Plan for today fell apart a bit, due to little/no sleep (cough, cough, cough all night). Luckily, I'd stripped & remade bed and vacuumed matress & headboard earlier this week.

weenancyinAmerica said:@sexymouse - re-socks: have you tried safety pinning them by pairs before putting them in the wash? You can also use onion or orange bags (the netted ones) for the socks or crochet one.
Personally I agree with the theory that socks escape from the washing machine and go join the lids from plastic containers in having a romp around the beaches. Good luck keeping up with your socks.
That's a good idea actually (the bag might be better for us). Will have to investigate. Thank you.
