I hope your DD's appointment has been a positive one, Fayolle xx
Welcome back, eltee2, and well done. You put me to shame today.
Round, you are a-ma-zing!
Honey_Bear, it's the decluttering and then putting like-with-like that really helps to bring about the transformation of impenetrable heaps into being able to find stuff easily, isn't it? I'm beginning to think that I ought to have another go in the back corners and top shelf of the bedroom cupboard, where there are all sorts of bits and bobs abandoned by DH - he hasn't thought about them for at least 5 years, let alone used them! - but I mustn't start on that job until I've got this quiz out of the way. I desperately need to get back to photo sorting, too.
Thank you Valli for your help with great ideas for questions and useful links x
The fish is out of the freezer and defrosting for tea, so I'm off to start the next round. See you all later xxx6 -
Welcome home Eltee!I've now vinegared the front steps and the sundeck, cleared out one of the scullery area cupboards and sorted the contents that I wanted to go back on the top shelf in there into homemade storage boxes so it's looking a lot better. While I was making those boxes I made a few more to go on a new shelf, and re-ordered that shelf so it makes more sense, and then sorted the original shelf of homemade storage boxes in a cupboard. Everywhere that I've worked on today makes more sense and looks a lot better. There was a fair amount that got chucked and decluttered, too.Better is good enough.5

I went out into the garden for 10 minutes, needing a dose of daylight and sunshine, and swept up the leaves that had fallen from the ash tree in the past 4 days - now I can see the lawn.
Since then I have completed another round of quiz questions6 -
I got back a lot later than expected so not much done!! 🙄
I've tidied round the house putting stuff back where it should be and vacuumed the kitchen, utility and hallway. I wanted to get more done today but couldn't get much started as I was waiting for a new window cleaner to turn up to give me a quote - thankfully he turned up on time, gave me a quote and did the first clean!! 🙌 I'm really pleased as my last window cleaner was completely unreliable and I've been looking for a new one for a while 😁
So, tomorrow I'm going to tackle the general cleaning and deep clean the bathroom.DNF: £708.92/£1000

late tea with Eve's pudding (DD's favourite) for which I followed the recipe exactly... won't be doing THAT again - back to my method of pre-cooking the apples.

Thank you Honey Bear5 -
Thanks for the lists, even if I'm awol quite a lot these days.
- zumba x 2
- gas man was meant to come and disconnect the range today; his 2nd appt after admin messed up the first one. One text to say he was on his way; another 45mins later to say his clutch had gone so he would come tomorrow. Very annoying so let's hope 3rd time lucky.
- wrote and posted friend's birthday card.
- did small amount of shopping as I passed through Mr T on my way to return library books and get new ones.
- finished cooking and de-boning chicken carcass, now frozen as stock.
- drum practice.
- Mr N and I went into town to buy paint for the kitchen. We were very decisive and bought wall, ceiling and woodwork paint in about 20mins. Less successful finding a decent spice rack. Also looked at pans as our new cooker is induction and we aren't yet sure whether our old pans will work.
- local plasterer came in to quote for filling in the holes when the range is removed.
I keep adding to my list and the week is going to go by quickly I'm sure as we are down in Dorset from Friday lunchtime.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.6 -
Morning xx
I'm up, dressed, made my bed, packed my lunch bag, taken my meds, turned over the calendars, eaten breakfast, completed Wordle in two (woot woot), completed Connections with two lives lost, and I'm supping a brew.
Yep. It's a Tuesday. Back to work after the weekend day for Round. And breathe...
My kitchen sink is blocked. Very blocked. I've had two lots of bicarb and vinegar down it, lots of boiling water, a knitting needle, and used my hands as a makeshift plunger. Not made an ounce of difference. Can't feel anything with the knitting needle so the blockage must be round the bend. (A bit like me then 😉). Any ideas. Or do I need to be unscrewing the u bend? 🤔
Why thank you iona 😘 I'm not sure what I did to make you think that I'm a-ma-zing but I'm happy that you do.
Have a good week.

Morning all.
Round, I suspect you will have to unscrew the ubend, yuk...
Up early this morning after lying in till 9.30 yesterday with DGD2... I couldn't believe it either. Was left groggy with another headache which is now finally receding.
Anyhoo...wordle in four, one line on connections.
Just having breakfast having done a massive sort out of our finances given our spending weekend.I will fly this morning before meeting friends this afternoon.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.6 -
Morning all,Day of work yesterday which induced a migraine, so very little flying done yesterday other than cleaning the toilet. The migraine is still lingering a bit this morning - at least it's not affecting my eyes any more. So far have put away one load of washing and searched in vain for yet another sock that DH has managed to lose between the tumble dryer in the garage, and getting it upstairs. My boys have days of the week socks, so he's managed to lose one of Wednesday and Thursday of DS2's, one of his plain black back-up socks, and one of my socks in the last few weeks. I'm getting really annoyed by it now - I can't see how he manages to do it. I make sure they are in their pairs when they go into the washing machine.Completed connections and wordle was nearly a fail despite having most of the letters from the second guess, but got it on the last go. Phew!Need to get the shower head in some vinegar I think. Also need to return some things like the car manual (had to replace the battery in my car key last night) back to their homes.Happy flying everyone.Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20176

Good morning 😊
I'm sorry I have been awol for a few weeks. I really need to find my mojo! I am on day 4 of my 'weekend' and have achieved very little!
I have stripped my bed & that's swishing. I have also put some mould cleaner on some patches in the bathroom so it can start doing its thing. I have a very long list, and realistically it is not going to get done. I need to choose my battles.....
Today's plan: bathroom - toilet, sink, shower, floors - maybe even the window! I will take up the limescale remover with me I think.
UR - toilet, basin, worksurface (where big cat eats his food)
Make soup - roasted squash & garlic thawing - need to cook up.
Haircut - 2pm
Trip to travel agent in town.....if I have time. We are planning a big holiday next year.
Knitting - later, while watching rubbish tv
Admin.........maybe
I also have gardening I need to do, but I doubt I will get out there if I'm honest with myself
Jazee I hope baby is okay. Ours is growing well! DD2 is a natural, as I knew she would be 🥰
Iona I'm glad you are both on the mend
HB Your celebrations sounded amazing. You are clearly in a mission atm - you are inspiring me!
Welcome to newbies/returnees 👋
Hugs, sticks & spoons to those that need them x
