Thanks GI, baby is doing well. I had lots of cuddles yesterday but she went to grandad when she cried. He's a natural!
So this morning, finances sorted and a plan in place at least to the next increase in bills next April. Maybe I'll get a pay rise...oh, was that pigs I just saw flying by?
I have got first of four wash loads in machine, wultd, some tidying around, changed bedding, dusted flat surfaces in bedroom. Just having a cuppa before walking Poppet. I must remember to keep hydrated today to keep this headache at bay.Spend less now, work less later.8 -
One washload in the machine, and I've just scrubbed the bathtub. Need to get DH to make up some more of the limescale spray as I've just used it up and there are still some stubborn bits clinging on (we live in a hard water area and it builds up super quickly). Also did a computer declutter and got rid of lots of files clogging up the downloads folder. Stopping for a break for a few minutes now.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.I married Moon 8/4/2011, baby boy born 26/9/2012, Angel Baby Poppy born 8/11/15, Rainbow baby boy born 11/2/20177 -

Dog walked, dailies done, still some putting away from yesterday to do. I hoovered until the battery died. It's a lovely day. I'm hoping at least some of the washing will dry outside.
Parrots taken. Just having lunch then I'll see what other flying I can do before going out.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Bedding blowing outside. It is lovely out there. Such a shame that I won't get a chance to potter 😕 I have, however, moved the aeoniums from the greenhouse to the summerhouse, as that is insulated. They have been joined by my lemon geranium. I lost my previous ones the winter before last as it got too cold in the greenhouse. Just the lemon tree to join them now. I have also moved the meagre harvest of squash in there from the kitchen, and a spare car seat.
The bathroom is a WIP. Toilet & basin cleaned; mirror, window & outside of shower screen cleaned; shower head descaled; tiles next to toilet wiped down; floor swept; mould cleaner & descaler (separately) deployed in shower; bins cleaned & drying in the sunshine. I still need to mop the floor & clean the shower properly. I may do the latter when I get in it later.
I have made soup & stopped for lunch. I have an hour before I need to be at the hairdressers.
I'm pretty pleased with my progress! I have done more today that I have done in the last 3 days put together! I definitely work better when I am home alone....7 -
I too have washing on the line and it's almost dry. I have WUALTD including cat food mat and pet pots. I ironed all yesterday's washing, have washed up my bedside glass and carafe and 'glasses; from the bathroom. I've also scrubbed the mat from in the bath which I use when I shower and the dishcloth is soaking in bleach now I've been to Mr l and bought some. Lots of putting away in the kitchen so, after dinner (lunch) I shall clean the kitchen and bathroom.
I've also taken the table football game to the CS *fling*Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

I built the whole day around an appointment this afternoon only to discover when I arrived (with two minutes to spare) that it hadn't been recorded on their system. *irritating* Rebooked for next week. However, I have been to the phlebotomy centre for all my bloods to be done, as I want an unusual test which I have good reason to believe would be helpful but have been told I can't have it unless these other tests are done first. Seems a bit of a waste of resources but if it's the only way I can have the other test the Draculas can have as much blood as they need. Also been to the garden centre to get the plants we need to have a bit of colour over the winter, and the lovely Nigel gave us a masterclass in taking cuttings and saving seeds. Excellent local garden centre.Dropped into Lid1 to pick up something to eat for lunch while out and about and decided to get more ingredients to make the pea, cucumber, potato and shallot soup I invented a couple of weeks ago so I can make another batch. And there was a Too Good to Waste box on offer with a bunch of coriander in it, a bunch of celery and a few other things so it'll be with those things too.Better is good enough.5
