In which case only a SAR to the DPO at Horizon can obtain the data that you need, within 30 days of receipt
Thank you, i will submit the SAR when i get home today.

Hopefully then i can find some evidence to support not paying the invoice.
Thats the ONLY current way that you can obtain the missing paperwork, otherwise you wont see it until during a possible future court claim

That would be between you and the business or landowner, subject to the details you may hold

One likely scenario is an overstay, another is incorrect VRM entry at the time, another is non payment or insufficient payment, depending on the location, etc etc
Okay thank you very much. On the chance that i am at fault for the invoice and the only option is to pay. What course of action do you think is best, dealing with CCJ or paying off DPRL?

    Neither

You deal with any future Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice, followed by dealing with any subsequent N1SDT claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL ( with the advice in the newbies sticky thread in announcements. )

Once you have your SAR details, try plan A , trying to nip it in the bud, before any legal letters

  • Yes i think ill have to go down that route then and request a SAR. If i find i am at fault for the invoice and cant provide any evidence to get it erased. How can i approach it, pay the DRPL or just wait for the CCJ to come through. Seems like a trap ive been caught in here. Horizon seem to not want my money anymore unless its through Legal or DRPL

Why do you imagine that a CCJ will just "come through"?

No CCJ will come through, it doesn't work that way

We would advise you to wait for the Letter of Claim, respond, then wait for the subsequent court claim, mediation is now compulsory so you can make any offers in the mediation phone call if you aren't so minded. ( We would tell you to offer nothing and take it to court. )

The process currently works this way, you have been picked to play, they don't care about your feelings or disposition, you may not like the rules but its partly caused due to your own error in not updating the V5c

If the DVLA had prosecuted you for not updating the V5c , you could have received a real fine from magistrates for up to £1000,  ( same again if you had failed to update your driving licence. )

The Horizon invoice would still be in play as well, so thank your lucky stars that you didn't get fined via the DVLA

Yes the VC5 error has not helped in this situation and I'm aware they don't care about it, mistake or not. Shame really its a life lesson for most people including myself about the little things that can cause big annoyances.

I will be patient, request a SAR today. Wait until a reply. Then approach the land owner once more details are known to try and get them to withdraw the claim if possible.

I will keep this post updated for anyone else that is in similar situation with the same company as well when more happens.

Thank you for your advice, appreciate your time and effort.
  • Update One 09/11/2024

Received an email regarding my SAR from Horizon. They have sent NTK (Notice to Keeper) which has allowed me to see where the offense occurred which happens to be my place of work which could be good news. I will approach the necessary person on Monday to see if this PCN can be withdrawn. Will update further when i have more news.
  • Update Two 11/11/2024

I have approach the necessary person Via Email at my place of work regarding cancelling the PCN and i am waiting for a reply on this. I will update further once i have a reply.
  • Update Three 18/12/2024

After finally getting a reply from the necessary person at work who has been corresponding with Horizon over the PCN. They have stated they are not happy with removing the PCN and have settled with Horizon and have asked me to pay £85 to close the case. What do you all think?
