The N seems to aim to be a visual pun on knot. Possibly not successful...jameseonline said:
The lettering/font isn't great, the N is inconsistent with the rest of the letters.masonic said:I think they are just trying to appeal to a slightly different target market...

"Anyone got any salmon? Sorted!!"

The N looks very Virgin Money.
Green & Black, seems very Lloyds.
Green, yellow black doesn't look great either, welcome to text looks ok but then our new look is very word art isn't it?
Honestly from what I've seen so far it looks a mess, childish.I am not a financial advisor or other expert. All posts are purely my thoughts at the time for discussion, not advice. I doubt they have much to save either…happybagger said:
If that is their indeed their target market pictured, I'd suggest they had an alternative way of doing business with them other than a "branch visit" for everythingmasonic said:I think they are just trying to appeal to a slightly different target market...

I learnt from a quiz recently that the Nottingham Building Society offered the first internet banking service in the UK...happybagger said:

The quiz was factually wrong if they used that wording. Nottingham BS arguably introduced online banking via Prestel in 1983, but Prestel wasn't the internet - it was very much a walled garden, more like Sky Active and similar 'digital text' services.TomJ said:

I think it is quite obvious that the "new look" is targeting future borrowers, not savers. The reason Building Societies need savers money is to lend, mortgage is the core element of BS business.Theleak250 said:

Note that there are other colour combos too:
The yellow & green are on screens with other messaging displayed on rotation.
Grantham branch.

Glad I am not a member - the board deserves voting out for this nonsense.
Why get rid of a globally recognised brand like Robin Hood - who also epitomises what mutuals were about (use funds from the rich to support housing for the poor) - and replace it with a load of doodles/garish colouring a 10 year old could have designed.
Why not leave things alone - given all the branches will presumably keep the old branding for months - and use the money to boost savings rates or cut mortgage rates. I know it won't break the bank - but it just seems an appalling waste of time and money!5 -
So Beehive to disappear. We’re getting in touch with all our members with something important to share. Beehive Money is changing to Nottingham Building Society.
Why the change?
Beehive Money has always been part of Nottingham Building Society - and now we’re bringing our online and branch customers together under one name.
We want all our customers to know they are part of one big community. Where everyone can experience the benefits of being a member of Nottingham Building Society and owning the place where they save and borrow. As a mutual building society our members are at the centre of our thinking. We know your financial needs and money circumstances are ever-evolving and one of a kind - and we’re here to help you reach your goals.2
