Love it that you're still counting in weeks from The Day, HB. Could it turn into an anniversary card? xx
Just rang the horse piddle and spoke to a lovely nurse who was very helpful and very direct with me, having asked me what I already knew about DH. His infection markers are still rising so he is already on stronger ABs - as I predicted yesterday before he'd even been admitted! He is being moved from the Assessment Unit to the Respiratory ward asap, thereby maxing out his horse piddle season ticket again. I even got to speak to him in person so was able to remind him that WA works in the horse piddle, even in the windowless wards (of which there are several), so maybe he will remember to ring me when he has been moved, if he's feeling up to it. He is quite definitely not going to wargames tonight or Sunday, or to the model railway club's annual show tomorrow, and it looks as if he won't be coming home in a hurry. I'll go visiting around tea time today.
That leaves me with the question of how to use up the roast chicken. Doubtless Rosie has plans for it
3 loads of washing done, 1 dried so far. And the sun is shining with a light breeze, so I'll hang some of the washing out.
Catch up later. (((Hugs))) all round xxx5 -

Hello all.
Hope you find the card HB but you did make me laugh.
Iona- Hope DH improves quickly and Rosie enjoys her chicken.
I am also missing Round and CoG.
Today I have done one work shift - more later -, dailies, very long walk with Poppet in the sunshine and cut the grass back and front.Spend less now, work less later.7 -

Sadly the card can't be an anniversary one Ionafan it was defo for the day itself but at least I fulfilled our agreement that we wouldn't be doing cards etc! Kaz, by your reckoning I have about 11 years to find it. Should be do-able, but then again if it's anything like my 1 tog feather duvet that I've been searching for for over 10 years I don't know. The irritating part about the duvet is that when I folded it up and placed it wherever it is I can remember thinking to myself, 'Hmm. That fits really neatly in that spot, just like it was made for it. I must remember where I've put it because I won't find it by accident.' A bit like the card, really. The reason I did one was that it's been in my stash for about a decade, I absolutely love it and it wasn't suitable for any of the people we know who've tied the knot within that time. I will tell Belovéd about it when I find it, and I'll give it to him but ask for it back so I can keep it. Because we agreed - no cards. That should do the trick.I have a pretty effective pop up blocker Valli, and I think that's preventing me from seeing your Spoiler. As I can't work out how to sign in on my mobile I can't make it work on that either.Third load pegged out but it was only one item, the dog crate cover, because it was minging and I was worried the colour would run. Next time it can go in the mixed coloureds load.Wren trundled. Freezer stock-checked. At some point I can meal plan from that but for now, enough's enough. The animals are all having an afternoon nap and I'm going to spend the rest of my time surfing the Tube of You because Belovéd will be back tomorrow and it was my intention to rest a lot while he was away and I seem to have worked incredibly hard physically, so I have to make the most of the 24 hours or so I have left. I'll skip all the things that I thought needed doing today and go out tomorrow probably after my flu jab to run all the errands.Better is good enough.6

it’s a way oh hiding comments but no where near as good as Flylady code was…
Washing line dried.
I got to cut the 150th anniversary cake at school as a special guest/former member of staff. And got lots of ‘do you remember me? from the children i’d last seen in Y1 and Y2…my how they have grown! I also swapped A3 paper for A4 and cleared a stash of ribbons and trims, they’ll use them in school.Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016

Hope Mr Ionafan gets well soon.
I'm feeling much better today, just slight arm tenderness.
We had a good journey to niece's funeral; arrived early enough to stop off at a hostelry for coffee and came across 2 stepsisters- one the mother of the deceased - and 2 other relatives. Funeral went ok but particularly emotional as so many people asked me about Mum.
Only flying of the day was going to Mr T to stock up as we're staying in Mum’s house this weekend and tomorrow will meet up with Canadian friends and take them to lunch with Mum.Remember...a layer of dust protects the wood beneath it.7 -
I'm glad your journey today was an easy one, Narc0, and that the funeral went ok. Reporting rapid changes in the health of someone dear to us is very stressful, particularly when you have to tell a lot of people individually. (((Hugs))) to you and MrN xx
Thanks for GWS wishes for my DH. This evening he has been moved onto a proper ward with a proper bed instead of a trolley, so will sleep more comfortably. The stronger ABs appear to be starting to take effect, and he's no longer confused like he was on admission, though he feels that his lung capacity is considerably less than before - hopefully that will improve soon.
I didn't get to the shops at M€rry H€11 today because I fell asleep for an hour after lunch, but was determined to spend some time in the garden before going horse piddle visiting. I dug up 7 large geraniums (perlargoniums) out of the patio pots and have re-potted them to over-winter on the kitchen and DR windowsills. They all have loads of potential cuttings that I can take in the spring. It's due to rain here tomorrow, so perhaps I'll manage to get some quiz questions written, instead of doing more gardening.
See you all on the new thread, if not before xxx
