Zopa Current account

I see what you mean. With the 2% interest they say fixed for 12 months then variable, but with the cashback they just say guaranteed for 12 months. Looks like most of us have just made one big direct debit to ourselves instead of moving accounts over.fly-catchers said:Still not sure if the 2% on DD payments is just for 12 months or ongoing. Opened my account a few months back and was thinking of moving my Santander 123 lite DD over to Zopa. But not sure if it’s worth the hassle if it’s only for less than a year for me.0 -
I have a note from when I opened the account that the cashback was fixed for a year and variable after that. I've used my cashback for this year but I am hoping that now Zopa is out of beta, they will offer a switch bonus. I could then switch Santander with the direct debits ready for whatever Zopa pay after the 12 months are up.goatfaced said:

Yes I'll do the same if they do the switch service although doing one big payment wasn't a problem right after payday, I like zopa. Edge will give me 99p profit so I might do that in the short term.
I've found some direct debits easier to change manually than others. I have a horror of making phone calls for the ones that require it.
I've moved 2 of my cheapest direct debits to NatWest and then made my account into a reward account, to get £3 return per month. Doing the same with RBS for another £3 return, but they don't have to be household direct debits so this can be done using moneybox direct debits to oneself. Both of those banks have a switch offer on I believe, if you don't already have an account.0 -
@goatfaced slightly off topic, but for NatWest/RBS rewards I prefer Moneybox/Plum as you can satisfy the reward criteria with a single DD taken weekly, rather than two household DDs taken monthly.1

Generally I take the same approach but if possible I like to keep the ones that are more difficult to move on the reward accounts so that I can save the easier to move ones for if I need a last minute DD.PRAISETHESUN said:@goatfaced slightly off topic, but for NatWest/RBS rewards I prefer Moneybox/Plum as you can satisfy the reward criteria with a single DD taken weekly, rather than two household DDs taken monthly.
This is one of the reasons why I opted to use a Scottish Widows for RBS as it was a longer process to set up the DD so I didn't want to have to keep changing which account it was linked to. Now that they're closing my account I'm trying to get it replaced with HEBS. I could replace it with moneybox but moneybox is quite easy to move to a new account so I want to keep that ``floating" as it were so that I can add it to any account I wish at the last minute. HEBS still want a paper DD mandate form so is more effort to move.1 -
Does anyone have any examples (excluding Moneybox, PayPal or my CC) that I can set direct debts up with?0

Could any Samsung users enlighten me as to how to get the Zopa app to open in Samsung secure folder pls? 🤔
I've added it as normal but it just opens and immediately closes again.
Tnx0 -
No, because it won't.ccluedo said:Could any Samsung users enlighten me as to how to get the Zopa app to open in Samsung secure folder pls? 🤔

See also Barclays, Revolut, Standard Life and no doubt loads of others.
Their security checking is identifying the Secure Folder as 'special' but not in a good way.1
