Hi all,
Just an update.
I have received a formal claim from the courts. Asking me to respond in 14 days.
Am I allowed to post the pages here?1 -
If its the same case, then yes, but you only need to post a redacted picture of the claim form itself, after redacting 4 sets of data, namely
Your Name and address
Claim reference number on the top right
Vrm in the POC on the lower left
Password on the lower right
None of the other forms are needed or used2 -
Read some other claim threads first, to learn what to do and show. Every thread is a claim thread, almost! Same as yours.
Nothing different or difficult.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I am trying to find another thread which is similar to mine - would anyone be so kind as to let me know what next steps to take?0 -

Hi all,
So I have done the following:
- Completed AOS via MCOL
- Looked at the template - see attached the updated wordings for paras 2 and 3.
- Also I attach again the pictures of the contravention.

I'd be grateful if you could let me know if I am OK to send. It all looks pretty boilerplate.
After this do I submit this claim via email? If so, I assume the MCOL claim gets updated after emailing. I think I have to do the following once the draft is finalised:- PDF defence and sign/date.
- Submit defence to email to claimresponses.cnbc@justice.gov.uk
- Put "URGENT - CLAIM XXXXXXXX - Defence attached." in subject line.
- Wait for email acknowledgment.
- Wait for your own Directions Questionnaire from the CNBC and then complete & email it to the CNBC.
----------
Draft wording2. The facts in this defence come from the Defendant's own knowledge and honest belief. Conversely, the Claimant sets out a cut-and-paste incoherent and sparse statement of case. The POC appear to be in breach of CPR 16.4, 16PD3 and 16PD7, and fail to "state all facts necessary for the purpose of formulating a complete cause of action". The Defendant is unable, on the basis of the POC, to understand with certainty what case, allegation(s) and what heads of cost are being pursued, making it difficult to respond. However, the vehicle is recognised and it is admitted that the Defendant was the registered keeper.
3. Referring to the POC: paragraph 1 is denied. The Defendant is not indebted to the Claimant. Paragraph 2 is denied. The Defendant does not accept that a contravention occurred on 24/08/2024, as alleged. Whilst the Defendant is the registered keeper, paragraphs 3 and 4 are denied. The Defendant is not liable and has seen no evidence of a breach of prominent terms. The quantum is hugely exaggerated (no PCN can be £170 on private land) and there were no damages incurred whatsoever.
3.1 Due to the length of time, the Defendant has no recollection of the day in question. The Defendant has parked in this car park many times while shopping in Lidl store with evidence of transactions available to submit when required. The Defendant was unaware of parking restrictions in place. The Defendant had not noticed any ‘Prominent’ signage close to where the vehicle was parked, showing the terms and conditions for use. The small signage was not suitable to alert a motorist, leading to an unawareness of any parking restrictions.0 -
Yep that's all good.
I can't see your links as my phone blocks Imgur but if the claim is about a single PCN from UKPC via DCB Legal, this defended case will be discontinued by Christmas.

Based on the advice - do I reach out to them or just wait for the Courts to send me a Directions Questionnaire?
