So I have received my mediation date. They've asked me to provide a summary to the mediatior.
Any pointers?0 -
Read the mediation advice in the newbies sticky thread in announcements, plus anything in the defence template thread, and read a dozen feedback posts by others who have done it recently1

I've drafted something like this.
Remember its a phone discussion so will give my position in a few minutes and leave the rest to them.
“I was parked there as a genuine Lidl customer, which I can evidence with receipts. I had no reason to believe I was in breach of any rules because the signage was small and not visible where I parked. I deny liability entirely — there was no contract or fair notice of terms. The charge is inflated well beyond the £100 legal cap, with extra fees that are unlawful and condemned by government. Unlike the Beavis case, there is no legitimate interest here, only an attempt to penalise. UKPC haven’t even shown they had the landowner’s authority to issue charges. I see this as an exaggerated and unfair claim, but I am here today in good faith to try to resolve the matter without wasting the court’s time.”0 -
I wouldn't say a word of that.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I've had a look at the threads and that what i've summarised in my defence using the template defence.Coupon-mad said:I wouldn't say a word of that.
They've asked me to be ready to summarise "You will need to briefly explain your claim or defence to the mediator. You should prepare for yourself a brief summary of the main points."0 -
Complete waste of time
It can be done like this
I offer £0, that is the end of the call

Why are you reading that instead of our two links in the Template Defence first steps?Felics said:

They cannot do that! Apart from the fact that the mediation service would already have a copy of your defence (I think) it is not their job to act as judge but to mediate to see if a financial settlement can be reached.Felics said:So I have received my mediation date. I would be complaining to scmreferrals@justice.gov.uk

If I don't say the above, I understand I will be penalised by not providing a summary. Do I just provide a high level overview?0
