AnW's mum - cool, i'm now a triplet. What age shall we be? One with no responsibility but I don't want to be in my 20s again either!

Rumbly - you did really well this week. I'm going to have to start up again seriously this week.

Solway - thinking of your SIL, I had my waters broken with both children and first time had terrible labour and second time had fab labour. I'm sure it'll all be fine. Hope you get some sleep tonight.

I feel fine now so don't know why I was so sick last night. We're going to use our new cooker - well the griddle plate bit of it. It is so sad that I am so excited, lol.

This week I'm back on the plan! xx

Solway It helps things along and it's going to be painful either way so better to be quick and painful than slow and painful! I had mine broken with DS1, induction and contractions were erratic. It did hurt like hell, but I was only 2cm dilated! And when I say hurt, it hurt while she had her hand up me holding my cervex open to let the waters out as nothing happened at first. She got hers though, they flooded all over her top!

Plus, after that they don't let things go on for too long, so she won't be days in failed labour.

Good news! Curry's now do 3% cashback on click and reserve! AND you get the item at online prices! Just got my Mum and dad a new hoover, and picked up some dryer balls too....

I'm an aunty! Little Isaac born at 4.06 8lb and he rang me himself to make noises. Ta for the replies re- breaking waters, she had an easyish time by all accounts. I want to go see him now, me and mum are plotting a day trip to North Yorkshire on Tuesday.

Anyhow, composing myself.. See you all on the new thread. What a weekend!! Aunty Solway x

Likklegibbon - not a clue on benefits, but lots on employment law (As well as cleaning, childcare and gardening, I am a HR consultant, and specialise in TUPE). If your Dads firm has been taken over then he may transfer under TUPE. They should have consulted with him - if they haven't then they are already in breach. What matters is what he actually works - so if he is on zero hours but always does 20 a week, then he has a strong argument for custom and practice. PM me for more info if you want.

    Solway kid - congratulations.

So, what have I done with my Sunday? Put some more old maps up on ebay. I have not bids :( but some watchers - can anyone tell me if watchers usually bid towards the end of the time?

I decided against doing my own flying list - why reinvent the wheel? Now I have a spare set of bedlinen for myself, I can change my bedlinen day to the Flylady day (Weds I think it was). So, I shall be joining you all tomorrow!

The Victorian Kitchen book is interesting - tells you all about the life of a victorian cook, kitchen maid etc. - boy did they have to work hard!

Duck is roasting, pots are in to roast, veg peeled so dinner is nicely under control and will probably be eaten around 7.30

    Have a good evening ladies

    Things I should do:
    • [STRIKE]Ironing (sort out wardrobe for work)[/STRIKE]
    • Self assessment tax return leaving until next weekend
And that's all I'm committing myself to - the sa tax return will probably be shelved until next week.

    Things I'll probably do:
    • [STRIKE]Have a leisurely bath[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Put some more stuff up on ebay now I remember how easy it is[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Read the 'Victorian Kitchen' book I bought in the charity shop in town[/STRIKE]
    • W[STRIKE]rite my own 'Flying list' to keep me and the housework under control[/STRIKE]

Congrats Auntie Solway! Bet you feel proud as punch!
Still very under the weather, so have only done bare minimum today - roast dinner, changed bedding - washed dried, folded and away - dealt with a few ceiling cobwebs upstairs (felt good about that as I actually dealt with them as soon as I noticed!). Also soaked the showerhead in vinegar and cleaned the bath properly. Come to think of it, that's not too bad, is it? Hope to keep up a bit better next week!

Well today has gone far too quickly, just as i predicted.

but, i have a coat of paint on my bathroom woodwork, i have done some of my school work, and the house is slightly tidier. I still have loads of school stuff to d o tonight. Charlie has just gone to bed, and our dinner is nearly there with being cooked - was hoping it would be ready now but i forgot to get the beef joint in the oven in time. OOPS.

I wish i would learn my lesson and do more school work through the hols as i hate losing a good chunk of the last day to do the preparation. I suppose if i hadn't fell down the stairs i would have gone in on thursday as planned and be further ahead, but as i didn't, i guess i should stop whinging and just get on as per my new years resolution.

Anyway, best go check the meat and turn the pan of veg on. potatoes already started, including enough for tomorrows meal as i am sure we will both be shattered by then.

    Michelle, x
