Tia I really like the dress you showed, Pigpen I think yours wins however, that is stunning! Unfortunately the bras of course wouldn't fit me and there is no way in heck I could wear something like that, maybe when I had a figure I could have tried but still the 'bra' issue. Speaking of bras, new catalogue arrived, wonder if there will be more than 2/3 for me to choose from this time :rotfl: not likely! I think Figleaves have about 8 in my size if they are in stock...Some people inherit great genes, I just get the knockers from hell! I think I have had 3 dresses which I loved and fit well (many years ago of course before my firgure became an 8-as in rounded not the number) both were very stretchy and very fitted. One of them a friend called my 'Jessica Wabbit' dress :rotfl: I threw them out when we moved as I lost all hope of them fitting ever again, wish I'd kept them.

Speaking of bras I need to find somewhere else that does new wires, have had 3 scaffy bars snap this week! Can't find where I used last time online :(

LJD1 hope you feel better tomorrow, yak!
Kaz, wow, you've done loads, bet you'll sleep well after doing all that!

  • morning all.

don't suppose i will have been the 1st one up, but 1st to post. Plan for today is to run around like a loon doing all the things that we still haven't done this week. DH was talking about sanding the bathroom wood and metal work so he can gloss that through the week.

I guess my plan is to first wash my hair and get ready, then try and do some school stuff while charlie plays and sleeps, i have a roast beef dinner to make, and at some stage will need to do some ironing.

I spent about an hour sorting out in the spare room last night. Put away the rest of charlie's next size clothes, found another couple of quality items for the charity shop. Scarily we already have another 2 bags to take.

will also get DH to put the 5 big boxed toys that we are saving for charlie to have when the baby arrives in the loft. He forgot about them when he was up there yesterday putting the xmas decs away.

could also do with taking the hoover for a sejourn around the living room as it is full of cat debris, and i am still finding pine needles. And i will need to hang up the load of washing that i have already done this morning, which had charlie's grow bag in again. Such a shame they don't go in the TD.

Anyway, onwards as the day is bound to pass in a flash with it being the last holiday day, and it is better to get my system used to the shock of doing something slower than usual pace. 49 school days till maternity leave. :j

Have a fab day, and don't wish it away too quickly for me will you. :rotfl:

And a bright good morning from me too. Today, being the seventh day, I think I shall rest. Or at least stay on the runway for the day instead of flying.

    Things I should do:
    • Ironing (sort out wardrobe for work)
    • Self assessment tax return
And that's all I'm committing myself to - the sa tax return will probably be shelved until next week.

    Things I'll probably do:
    • Have a leisurely bath
    • Put some more stuff up on ebay now I remember how easy it is
    • Read the 'Victorian Kitchen' book I bought in the charity shop in town
    • Write my own 'Flying list' to keep me and the housework under control
    Have a nice one ladies

Hello all - lots has been happening I see.

Pigpen, like your dress very much, but (happily) never go anywhere to wear things like that anymore. More of a jeans and scruffy t-shirt person.

We spent yesterday building most of a chicken ark. Rather cold mostly, then we took the christmas decorations down, then dysoned the resulting mess.

Today we need to finish the ark. Boys are v excited about the idea. Not having a cockeral - I think getting one is an apalling thing to do to your neighbours!

I knocked my steam press over this morning and broke one of the main knobs off. Not repairable! Good job I did the ironing mountain so I have time to get a new one ordered.

    Morning all

It is frosty and sunny here today - I love sun at this time of year.

Got out of doing the footie run as DS2 as a sleepover with one of his team managers who is taking and returning him.

Pigpen - love the dress, thanks for the bra links - are there sizes like M&S and can you retun ok to them. Hope your head is fine today and enjoy the panto - I did, cinderella for us.

Tia loved your choice of dress too. I hate choosing clothes, I have no natural style. I am lucky to have an ok figure so no excuses, I am happiest in my gardening gear - how sad am I?

LJD my beloved twin I am flying today (well that is the plan - I want that living room done and then I get the day of on Tuesday as it will be too soon to doing it again.

Right shower and then DS3 is turning the telly off. From tomorrow I am having new rules re tv/playstation which the kids are going to hate so I haven't told them yet.

Morning all from me too, rather a fitful night checking my phone for baby news - sadly none yet. They're still at home and trying to get sleep in between times. Poor woman will be exhausted... My new bedding was lovely though.

Find MOT date and book one.
Must must must hoover car out today if nothing else.

PS I can hear Carols being sung in the Church next door..is this usual at this time of year?
