Yes.  Tell them to ERASE the old address.

You could easily just adapt the 'LBC response' in the second post of the NEWBIES thread (using only the top half if it and not the 2 questions & not referring to Britannia as "your client" of course).

Yes you must keep the parking company informed of your address at all times.
This is simply to avoid a Claim being raised that you know nothing about and therefore have no opportunity to defend yourself.
  • Britannia Parking have now been notified of my address change, there is a mention on there email to contact www. ombudsmen -servies.org  for an alternative dispute reslution service .  Has anyone tried doing this and was it any of any help? Thanks

No that's not possible.  The letter tells you they aren't offering it.

Your winning dispute resolution stage is going to be small claims court. We do this every day!

When do they usually take you to small claims court?
Britania emailed to say they have updated my address but wont ERASE old address
see below email and what would be the next steps please or articles to read.

Please be aware our standard procedure is not to remove a motorists data further to a Parking Charge being resolved, as per section 6 of our Privacy Policy whereby it states “we will generally store the personal data that we hold in relation to you for the duration of our relationship with you and for 7 years after that relationship ends”. Additionally as our legal basis for processing data is contractual and not consensual, a data subject does not have the right to be forgotten, or to withdraw their consent from having their data processed and retained.

We have however updated your postal address on our system as per your email.

Please be aware we have already received an appeal for Parking Charge : 13246455. We have reviewed and responded to that appeal on the 16-07-2024.

After our internal procedure had ended you submitted an appeal to the independent appeal service POPLA.

POPLA has declined your appeal and the decision has been delivered on the 25.09.2024. (copy attached). Because your appeal was unsuccessful with POPLA the discounted amount is no longer available and you are unable to appeal any further.

We will uphold any decision made by POPLA, therefore in order to resolve this matter please proceed with the payment of outstanding £100.

Hi, just looking for advice confirmation using Newbie thread template.
DCB Legal have sent Letter of Claim
Is it best to respond using the templates on newbie thread or ignore completely?
I have 30 days to respond if doing so.
This is over a major keying error I entered my other car reg plate by mistake but paid £1 for 1 hour correctly as on my bank statement.
Would this even be defendable if goes to court?
Any pointers be much appreciated to help win this battle. Thanks

    Beachwalker is the OP

Respond by email using the response template in that newbies thread second post, to DCB Legal

They will respond to you with a template

Then await an N1SDT court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL

The newbies sticky thread plus the defence template thread will help with those 2 stages
