Your Court order tells you what your court wants
1) a statement from you, witness number 1
2) Exhibits
With a deadline of so many days prior to the hearing
They always do (. You shouldn't be guessing anything here. )

The Notice that gives the hearing date.Is there not a paragraph something like:Each party must deliver to every other party and to the court office copies of all documents on which he intends to rely at the hearing no later than [ . . . ] [14 days before the hearing].Might be on the back. Those 'documents on which you intend to rely' are your Witness Statement and evidence.3

Remember the onus is on the claimant to make their claim, and their claim is based on them believing a contract exists between you.
If they have submitted half an illegible contract to you, which you cannot defend against, they have not made their case and the claim should fail.

Thanks all. I have now hand delivered my WS as it was due at 4pm today, i have also served them a copy. I dont think they are going to serve theirs in time as I haven't received anything. What would this mean? im hoping they see my WS and drop the case.0
