  • I had one recently relation to an ongoing parking claim at the moment,

Don't be pressured by the 'mediator'..the lady whom undertook mine was in my opinion pushing for a payment ..

The amount the parking company are claiming is almost £300..

Almost immediately they dropped it to £175..
And then when I refused they dropped it to around £70/80?

Have to admit after all the stress and aggro I've been through I was tempted to pay it, and the lady was being very tactile to push it too.

However as my case is for an alleged infringement of around 15 minutes,  I thought no, why should I cave in and pay approx £7.50 a minute for an alleged infringement..it wasn't long ago I was working for £7.50 an hour!

So promptly offered a token gesture of £20 which was declined and now it's going to county court ..

In my opinion the medication process should be reserved for personal claims and not the mass bulk of parking claims .

Please do let us know the outcome of this when its compete. Good luck!

Mediation is nothing. It's not bad news and you don't start talking about signage / defence.

Just DO NOT make an offer. Two minute call. Phone down.

Thank you. Is it ok if I keep you updated with what’s happening? Just feels good to have some tailored advice and just people to talk to!

  • Okay so the mediation man called me.
he was actually a very nice chap, not pushy at all. Told me he had dealt with cases with Gladstone’s before and they hardly ever offer a reasonable settlement. He also said they’re happy for it to go to court. So that’s where it’s going!

Next steps I should be expecting?
he wasn’t pushy at all and it was actually quite a pleasant experience and he told me what to expect at court and not to worry.

  • Hi all. I now have my court date and i have left it very late for my evidence unfortunatley i have had a lot going on at work. Please can someone give me some tips, i have written it in the same form i did my defence but have just put circumstances and screen shots from emails to the client, i have also provided disability evidence for my son who was there with me at the time having a meltdown.

Any help would be greatly apreciated as i need to get this in tomorrow. I have looked at the newbies thread but havent found anything on what to write for your evidence.

    Thanks all
