Octopus end all their communications with Love and Power!  Bit weird but at least they seem to be a decent company to be with!

Ah thank you for pointing that out, I thought it was weird.

Happy new diary, good to have you back. I generally lurk.

I cringed at love and power and stacked it up on the 'no' side tbh.
  • Friday morning is reading in school day , I enjoy this very much . This afternoon I am going to move my summer clothes from my wardrobe and replace with winter . Yesterday I got another pair of £17.50 trousers from M@S for winter and a jumper . I am trying not to spend my winter in jeans .
Can anyone recommend some thicker tights for people with short legs 😂.
Today would have been my DDs 11 wedding anniversary, I will be thinking of all she has been through the last 2 years and hope she stays strong and doesn’t have the ex back .

Does anyone have any ideas what to buy my sister in law for her 60th birthday. She isn’t a big part of my life as due to tragic circumstances my brother is no longer with us . However she has been a good Auntie to my children.

    Everyone have a Good Friday

  • Can you consider a teenage range for the tights?

Sending hugs to your DD. ❤️
Re SIL's 60th, I think a voucher for a nice afternoon tea or meal is always a good idea. You could always add a bottle of fizzy on as it's a special birthday. Otherwise, perhaps a nice hamper?  I feel that once we get past 50 we usually have enough 'things' so an occasion to go out or some nice edibles fits the box!

  • Thank you SSG for the suggestions.

Had another email from Octopus late Friday afternoon from the same person and it now sounds like I am getting nearer to an ending that I will be happy with.
School was lovely listening to the children reading , the difference in abilities is quite vast even at age 5/6.

Yesterday I had my flu jab which has definitely given me a reaction , feeling a bit grotty today . May cancel the Covid jab later in the week .
I had my youngest DGS yesterday for a few hours , he seems to have grown up in the 3 weeks he has been at school.
Today is all about getting ready for the week ahead and it is a busy one .

Time for coffee to get me going.

I’ve got my flu and Covid jabs in a couple of weeks both at the same time. I’ve felt rough after every single Covid jab so have earmarked the following day to chill out and do nothing.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)
  • Tuesday afternoon already , late lunch for me as have been catching up on work awaiting answers from managers. Only 3 hours and that's me finished for the week again . I love my job but two days is definitely enough for me now.
Tomorrow I am having an outing to meet a friend , am sure coffee will be involved .
My car is a little poorly, garage thinks the noise under my car is the exhaust pipe , so it's going in next Tuesday for them to have a proper look.
I have a Covid jab on Thursday, just hope no reactions to it as busy Friday at school , then DDs birthday on Saturday .
Have had a few sales on Vinted this week so far  £23 coming my way. Winter clothes are now in the wardrobe and summer ones packed away until November holiday.

  • Saturday again, today is a Costa visit locally to meet a friend , a trip to the tip and charity shop. Then off to see mum and dad for whatever they need doing, This afternoon I am at a birthday party for 3/4 yr olds with youngest DGS as it's his mums birthday today so she is off on a trip to the cinema . We had a tea party last night as a family for her birthday .
Tomorrow I am doing my usual Sunday chores , then I need to review Christmas and see what I already have present wise . Have had to cut down this year on presents for other people.
My Vinted account has had a few sales , which is going to be used next weekend for my day trip to London.
