This virus has knocked me off my feet, hoping the barking cough settles down soon . Sleeping upright is not for me but it's the only way to get any sleep at the minute. Anyway at least I am not out spending money and this week was pretty quiet on the Christmas front. Cancelled meal out for tonight until January and I think the one on Friday will be cancelled as well.Have caught up on lots of tv yesterday , spoke to a few friends as well. Living on your own when you are feeling ill has it pluses , but would love someone to bring me a cup of tea .No more moaning from me now, others have things a lot worse than an annoying cough.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.1

Well I'm still not 100% better but am getting there . I need to decide if I am going to work tomorrow or not but that will depend on how I sleep tonight . The best bit is I haven't spent anything apart from a food shop . I have been pottering round the place all week and have done some useful jobs , like tidying the freezer . All of my GKs and DD have also had this virus , the GKs are coming later today whilst mum gets things ready for the week ahead. Luckily my parents have been ok so far.I am finished for Christmas buying as far as I am aware but will get all the presents put eventually to check. I have lost a few lbs in weight as have hardly eaten much but am sure to make up for it over Christmas.Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3

Still not 100% but getting better . My DD has been extremely poorly and has been diagnosed with pneumonia so now has antibiotics which in truth she probably should have had a week ago . Fingers crossed she’s is in the mend very soon.Today finds me him the big city meeting friends for breakfast . Then I’m going to have a saunter before it gets too busy .Monday is my birthday so I am on leave and having a lunch out with other friends.Money wise my pension has come in early but tucked away until the 20th normal payday.Salary is normal day 18th .Have been to school play again this week . Worn my pjs to school yesterday .Next week is Carol service at church with school , light trail at RHS with DGD .Money is all the ok and sorted thanks to the pots I have .Mum and Dad are ok and have so far escaped any winter bug fingers crossed it lasts .Anyway friends have arrived so best sign off .

I got my free lunch at a lovely restaurant. I received useful gifts and vouchers plus cash from parents which is going to buy a new mattress in the New Year .
My DD had an RTA yesterday all ok apart from her car which was hit by a tentacled energy company van . His windscreen was all misted up and he couldn’t see . He has admitted full liability . To be fair to his employers DD has had a courtesy car delivered this morning whilst they sort out getting her car mended .
Just been to Mr S this morning to pick some GF treats up for Xmas like a gf sausage rI’ll and a quiche .This afternoon is the school Carol Service looking forward to that .At home we are surrounded by scaffolding as we are having moss removed from the roof of our flat block . Also new gutters , there are 4 in the block that live here and we have all tried for years for this to happen . I decided to do a formal complaint in October and lo and behold it’s happening. Even the lovely Sycamore tree over my roof is getting trimmed , beyond happy .Hipefully no more slipping on moss or living under Niagra Falls from the gutters .Think that’s it .Life is an adventure, never stop exploring.3 -
Sorry to hear about DD's accident, thank goodness she's ok, I expect she's shaken by it though.
How lovely to be going to a school carol concert, I miss those days with my two, unfortunately I don't live that close to the DGKs so have missed out in that respect.
Great news about the building works.
Glad you had a nice birthday 😊I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)1
