Had a bit of a rest today , had a great time with the DGC last week we visited a bouncing place a park where I spent a lot of childhood . Then we had a trip to the science and industry museum on the bus .
I am on leave now from work , have tackled a couple of simple jobs at home today that have been on the to do list for a while. Have got up to date with ironing . Earlier I went to HB for a few things and popped in Starbucks for a drink a free one this time. There was a man very  near  to me who started crying . I asked him if he was ok and could I help , he had received a text from his wife saying she wanted a divorce after a short 6 week separation. He chatted to me for nearly an hour , I said what I hoped was good advice . It did worry me when I left that I hope he manages to pick himself up and do what he needs to do to sort out his situation.
Tomorrow I need to go to work to pick up my new laptop and hopefully set it up myself at home over the next week , after I come back from being away. I am having my hair cut and coloured tomorrow as well. Tuesday is about packing for our few days away on the North York Moors . .
i have a roast dinner nearly ready for myself now.

That's kind of you to chat to the man.  I'm sure you made a big difference just listening.

That was very kind of you to help the man. Hopefully the chat helped him.

Sounds like you had fun with the GKs. Enjoy your leave.

Back from my break with the 3 DGC , we had a lovely time making memories . We were on the edge of the North York Moors , so countryside and coast all close by. The weather was kind as well no jackets or jumpers needed . We went to a lovely museum where the volunteers were so enthusiastic and welcoming . Thank you again to @VintageHistorian for her great tip about museums , we would never had known about it otherwise. The journey home was a little longer , we diverted through a large Yorkshire town owing to motorway issues . It was tiring with 3 children all shouting grandma and being a referee between the siblings but most definitely worthwhile.
I had my cousin visiting from Spain today , lovely catch up over a pot of tea and cake. Back to work tomorrow for another couple of days , then on grandma duties again. It's going to be hot so definitely an early start Wednesday to get some outside time and then inside when it's hot.
The bank of grandma is holding up at the minute , long may it last .

My work week is done again , I set my new laptop up and am now on Windows 11 . I did both days in the office owing to having a new recruit . Will be doing the same next week , but then I am off again the week after.
Grandma duties return today , we are off early to a park in the next county with our lunch packed up . Then in the afternoon we are going swimming to a pool in the borough I live in but the children have never been to.
It's going to be a hot one so we will have our water bottles with us .
Hope everyone gets to enjoy the sun.
