Glad you enjoyed your river cruise and sewing the tags on is a lovely thing to do for your GC

Pleased to say the sewing is done for another year. Tomorrow and Tuesday work , then I am off on leave again until the 1st September . Haven't been far today just to HB  for a few things , the rest of the day I have been ironing , batch cooking and getting sorted for the week.

I can remember buying the custom made sew in name tapes from Good Housekeeping magazine when mine were little. What a laborious job that was 😆

I only have 3 days to do next week, 4 days the following week then we are off to Ibiza 😎

I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

You can get the iron on ones , but I'm  fashioned and prefer to sew them in. Not long until a visit to Cafe Mambo.

I buy the stickers, they are great and last well (plus can be used on shoes, bottles and lunchboxes too). Too lazy for ironing or sewing in here :D

I just use a marker pen! So think I am the laziest! Your river cruise sounded lovely & I just love how invested you in your children’s/grandchildren’s lives! They are very lucky 💕 x

I used to get labels that said     D Surname P       So I could tuck one end or the other under - two children's labels sorted for the price of one
What would you get if all you got was what you were thankful for?

I just used to use the surname on my label and just sewed them in everything and it didn’t matter if items were handed down….although with a boy and a girl not much was passed between them.
The river cruise sounds lovely. I do love a boat trip 😁

Have had a good week just gone by in some respects, but had to resort to going to the doctors again , and am now having a scan quite soon to see if that gives a clue to my problem. Also needed blood tests but no appts available until mid September!
The DGC had a good day on Wednesday we went to an outdoor area that has a few bridges to go over , we watched a movie outside for free whilst eating our packed lunch. I ventured to the next county on Friday and had a ride out and lunch which was lovely as it is semi rural where she lives . Yesterday I was at the big shopping centre very early and got a new iPad . The tech fund is now empty so we start again next month.
Today I have been de cluttering and will be going to the top in the morning , also have a charity bag and a few items on Vinted , two have sold so they are now on their way to new owners .
About to have a Sunday dinner now and watch a film.
