Yes, I already emailed Gladstone and the court my WS and evidence. I did not receive a WS from Gladstone on behalf of Parallel Parking, but the WS is in the BoD I received from them last Friday. Which left me thinking they haven't met the deadline.
Again, I have been back to the parking site a few times in the last week to make a video and take photos that could help my case in court. However, these photos were not added to my original WS.
Will this new evidence be admissible in court?
Am I allowed to use my phone to show this video in court, please?0 -
I just got off the phone with the court to confirm if I am allowed to bring my phone in to play a video evidence, I was told to send an email to the court. While trying to confirm the time, I was told by the person I spoke with that the hearing is at 10 am. However, the court sent me a hearing document stating 10 pm. It's barely 24 hours away, and I have been told to email the court if I can't make it. I have to work and have childcare issues. What do you advise, guys?
Here is the document sent to me by the court.1111

Its clearly a typo, should have stated AM not PM, I doubt that any civil court is open at 10pm ( 22.00 ) with a 1 hour slot to finish at 23.00
In the body of the court order it says that it's a 10am start with a block release from 10 and 12 , so one after another
You must attend, no exceptions

Although they emailed you a copy of the court order, you must have received the original copy in the post months ago2 -
You will have to attend. Get there at 9.30am to get through security.
Your first point is that the claim must be struck out, per the authorities of Chan and Akande. Say it to the Judge straight away after saying hello and if they are a good judge you could be out in 10 minutes! Less time than a dentist appointment.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Hi guys,
So I called the court on Thursday morning, the 29th, to inform them of the situation. I made it clear I was fully prepared to defend myself for the hearing scheduled for 10 pm the following day, but when I rang the court earlier that day, I was told the hearing was 10 am and not 10 pm. I informed the lady on the phone about my challenge to arrange childcare for my toddler within a short period, considering I had initially made childcare arrangements for 10 pm. Secondly, I was hoping to attend the hearing after work, hence I did not take a day off work. The Lady took my phone number and told me she will call me back after speaking with the Judge. I got the following email accompany with a phone call about 30 minutes later
"We have referred the email below to the Judge , who has vacated the hearing on 30th May 2025. The matter will be relist and the new hearing date will be send out in due course."2 -
Very well done for insisting. Jolly good: now reply to that with any added unavailable dates for the next 6 months. Forget nothing: think of holidays, family, babies, weddings, work pressures, Oct half term, the lot.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

One should never say never (urgent injunctions etc), but Courts almost always operate "gentlemens' hours" rarely sitting before 10:00hrs or much beyond 16:30hrs - particularly on small claims of what the system would regard of modest value.2
