Don't think i'm trying to rain on your parade, i've yet to see you not manage anything you have set your mind too... but these are long term goals and maybe too much too soon.
It all sounds like a great masterplan and there are clear aims and reasons, the only bummer is that your home life will suffer... 16 hours is a lot to cram in on weekends only, and you sound like you'll be busy in the week too!Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043

Do the CAB mention anything about childcare?
I'm with you on the keeping busy thing - does keep me sane. I'm currently studying for BA(hons) Early Childhood Studies, GCSE maths, GCSE science, Chair of Govs at Primary school, on the DCC and 4 kids (although 1 is away at uni) - and when I'm busy I do more when I'm not busy I veg!! Good luck with it all IA I know you'll do it!!I stopped smoking 25th June 2007STILL Never complacent but confidentMy debt is GOING DOWN!!!!0 -
Re the OU, doing one course at a time, you would probably only need to spend about 5 hours a week for a 30 pointer (like the money one), and a 60 pointer like the social science one would be about 12hrs - based on my experience anyway. It depends on your reading speed and typing speed, and how you make notes (I don't ... at all .... just highlight important bits in the book). That might help with your time planning.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

is there any scope for a CAB option closer to home if you waited for an opening? Or does the training have to be at 45mins away place?I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0

Don't forget folks, that apart from the fact that I-A is superhuman, it really adds up to not much more than A.N.other parent who works full time outside the home and is studying / volunteering. I-A works P/T, along side her full time role as housekeeper / homemaker / parent.
Have you got Ste's quality time timetabled too I-A?0 -

It's true Floss, in fact if you were to put anyone of us live's down on paper it would look like we were flat out, 95% of the time, and yet somehow i still have spent most of the morning on here! lol!!
IA - you never timetabled the daily chat thread, and updating MSE!!!I'm just a seething mass of contradictions....(it's part of my charm!)0
