my week would look like i'm working 40hours a week, but i probably only do 2 hours work some days....................!! It's not that i'm shirking, there just isn't much to do!

I'm off to get my distance learning coursework out of the car. My light will be going off....... somebody check!! and if i'm here, boot my a$$!

I'm with you on the keeping busy thing - does keep me sane. I'm currently studying for BA(hons) Early Childhood Studies, GCSE maths, GCSE science, Chair of Govs at Primary school, on the DCC and 4 kids (although 1 is away at uni) - and when I'm busy I do more when I'm not busy I veg!! Good luck with it all IA I know you'll do it!!

Sarah, didn't you say when Ste started this new job that they offered childcare vouchers? They don't have the same restriction on them re working 16 hours to use them. I used them to pay for childcare whilst I studied (plus 3+ funding). You need to check it out cos there may be a snag with using them and your tax credits. There is a thread about using them on the families board. Or you could ask when you are filmed or at the end of the show, if no one can answer your question here.;)

As far as I understand with the vouchers they come off your yearly income and then you get paid whats left every month as usual... but according to Martin's article on them they're only really worth it if you you're paying high tax and earning a lot..
