IA Your not alone... I 'm a single mum of 3 and I never get the chance to go out, I have lost most of my friends because of this but I will not let it get me down! All I do is take the kids to school, childminder, go to work pick them up, do normal household stuff washing drying a little cleaning and tidying, ironing!! and other kid related stuff!! I go to bed when the kids do otherwise I am just sitting by myself... Fcuk my life is really dismal........... Mind you my youngest two are off to stay with there dad this weekend (first in 7 yrs) so at least I maybe able to catch up on my housework as I never seem to be able to quite get it done!! other than that I will just end up crying all weekend cause I don't wanna be on my own!! at least you have Ste.......
:grouphug: to all that need them.
This is one of the reasons I think the DFW "meets" (especially the small-scale ones) are a good idea. They're a chance to foster relationships between people with similar circumstances in similar locations."Follow the money!" - Deepthroat (AKA William Mark Felt Sr - Associate Director of the FBI)

I agree Zed,
This weekend with my DFW-posse of chicks is all that's holding me together at the minute...

So sorry you feel this way- there's nowt worse than enforced staying at home! I feel exactly the same way. Its weird really because i struggle to work with my daughter and needing my support, but also feel that i dont want to lose my skills, and at the same time get caught in a viscious cycle. I admitted defeat and claimed carer's allowance even though we are entitled it still guts me to do it- if that makes sense. By claiming it and looking at paperwork i cant pretend everythings normal, but i always try and do the odd bit of supply work and volunteer on educational projects just to get me out of the house. Hope you feel a bit more upbeat and are able to bombard us all with your wonderful words of advice soon- You have the minions to think of!!!Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Awww Sar, big hugs for you (you can have something else if you like
). I think we all have moments were our seemlingly dull existence becomes too much to bare. Peaks and Troughs. Would you like some yellow vodka for the party at the weekend?

I'm now feeling guilty cos I bumped into an old friend from school months ago who gave me her number and moaned that she never sees anyone but her husband. I've been dead lazy and not called her and hope she's not feeling this way too - will ring her tomorrow.
I now realise how lucky I am though as I might not have any dosh but have some brilliant mates, I met one of them when our kids were at nursery as we spent lots of time chatting at the kiddy parties we had to deliver the little darlings too. I'm sure as the girls get older you'll meet loads of folk. what about through the band though? or is that all blokey?Mortgage OP 2025 £6250/7000Mortgage OP 2024 £7700/7000

Thanks everyone. I skipped bodytone tonight and sat down with Ste and we chatted about everything. Hopefully something will work out. Afterwards I went and dropped off a couple of CVs to local pubs that are recruiting, and will drop in a couple more tomorrow when I go to tesco. Fingers crossed something comes up soon.Total 'Failed Business' Debt £29,043
