IA Your not alone... I 'm a single mum of 3 and I never get the chance to go out, I have lost most of my friends because of this but I will not let it get me down! All I do is take the kids to school, childminder, go to work pick them up, do normal household stuff washing drying a little cleaning and tidying, ironing!! and other kid related stuff!! :grouphug: dodgy threesome for you too.....but please don't spend the weekend doing housework - there's rugby on TV, and do you have any family you can go visit, even just for tea? Or can you & your eldest do something special that is too old for the 2 littler ones?0 -
IA I completely sympathise. I have very few real friends left anymore because having kids and no money means that I just can't ever do things. I have got back in touch with some friends through facebook, and one has been to stay and is coming again this weekend which is great. But that friend is male so no girly nights out for me. I have a couple of female friends that I know from school but not that i would class as proper friends, not that I could ring up for a chat because I've not known them long. It is really isolating having young kids and no money. You'll make new friends once your girls start nursery and school etc. I'm sure.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

I'm the same (although without the kids!) Working from home has got a bit lonely and 'same 4 walls' and AQA is achingly quiet at the moment and I don't have any friends I can really call and just say 'fancy a glass of wine?'..........I found myself cleaning the inside of the oven door yesterday as I was bored and then deciding to investigate what kind of bulb to get so the inside of the oven is lit as the last one went 2 years ago and I've never replaced it....followed by 15 minutes price comparison on Ebay whether to get 1 bulb at 99p plus postage or 2 bulbs because that means the second one is half price, but the total is more than 1 bulb and should I really be buying 2 at once????...........life has got that desparate!!!

Maybe see if there any mother and toddler groups in your area, I took both my girls (now 15 and 8) and made long term friends both times

We will sort you out on Saturday IA.
Letting your hair down with 'the girls' is EXACTLY what you need. I was feeling the same a couple of weeks ago, and it was amazing the difference that a really great night out made.
You are in the home straight of being a stay-at-home-Mum, because you are doing the CAB thing, the course, and looking for a job, and when you get near the end of something that is hard going, the last bit is almost intolerable. I remember a teacher once telling me that the last 5% of any job is the hardest, and it's true (although at the time I just thought 'You're, like, THIRTY....what do YOU know about it'!!!)."I wasn't wrong, I just wasn't right enough.":smileyhea97800072589250 -
