Octopus 15 month fix tariff

Worth a second mention, difference in gas kWh is very small, fuels can be split between tariffs, gas can be left on 15 month fix, just ask to put electricity only onto 12 month fix unless prefer to have both fuels on same tariff.3

I wish there was a way your monthly usage data could be sucked into a calculator and it tell you how much the fixes will have to be rise for the fixing for 15 months to be worth it.
I don't care that it's a guess on usage, I don't care that it can't tell me what the price will be.

I have just switched within Octopus. The thing I like about Octopus is they have no exit fees so you can just switch again if something cheaper comes along. This is the fourth Octopus fix I have switched to so far this year. Each cheaper than the previous and with a further out end date2

If you're on the 12 month it's worth checking any new versions as switching will push back the end date.
Let's Be Careful Out There3 -
Whilst I could potentially save £50 (all on electric) over the next 12 months, as a couple of others have mentioned there's a question as to what might happen in the following 3 months. If it's 1p pkWh more I'd lose out with my usage. So I don't think I'll change at present, just keep an eye on things.2

Although the link to the tariff change page octopus.energy/dashboard/accounts/accountnumber/tariff-renewal/#/
is removed from the dashboard when you have a fix, they'e added a Change tariff link to the app under
Usage -> Your Tariff
that's still shown when on a fix. It seems to go to the same webpage so doesn't allow switching individual energies - that still needs an email contact if, for example, your current fix has a better gas unit rate.0 -

In the app click 'View tariff' - scroll down - click 'your tariff' - scroll down and is at the bottom of the page. In the app not the website0

Strange then you'd think it would show for everyone.0
