That might have something to do with the fact that putting books on shelves is hardly a challenging career. What would you like? An assistant to be delegated to each shelf with the manager getting the top shelf?
There is quite clearly a structure you moron. Do you have a supervisor? Do you have a manager? This country is called Great Britain. It would be called Amazing Britain if it wasn't for people like you pulling the average down0 -

WRONG WRONG WRONG
OH is a librarian/archivist - you couldn't be more wrong. There are, of course, time wasters and those with little ability or common sense who will never make the next grade but I'm sure you couldn't possibly fall into that category SP....0 -

What do you expect them to do????? Move up the corporate ladder to where? They're at the top. At 28 my brother became a manager with a national company. That's the highest he'll get within the company. What would you suggest he do?This country is called Great Britain. I don't think I am far wrong. There is a handful of managers job but I am sure 90 % of them will sit there for 20 plus years until they retire and so that removes all promotion.:beer:0 -

Phil, you have to make your opportunities. You cant just expect things to happen for you. If this is your attitude then you wont move on. There are opportunities to progress in every job.
