Morning all.

Thanks to Valli, shortbread is currently in the oven!  Won't do weight loss much good.

It is pouring with rain so plans of car cleaning and gardening are postponed...oh no.

 I have prepped house ready for DGD2s arrival later and also for DGD1 and DGD3 being here tomorrow so we now have the cot up in the living room.

Think that after breakfast I'll have a soak in the bath and then potter. I don't think the dog walk will happen either.

I'm up, made my bed, turned calendars over!!!, completed Wordle and Connections, and supped my first brew. 

It's another misty, moisty morning.

Mr Al shop - might do today, might wait until tomorrow (quieter)

Morning all

despite correctly identifying categories failed at connection but wordled in 2 goes, having got 4 greens in go 1

WM and DW x 1 but we have rain so it will be folded to wait for a drier day.

Both plum jam and bramble jelly have set beautifully.

Lots of tidying to be done as well as prepping and cooking Sunday dinner.  Must pace myself.

Afternoon all,
I am off work for a whole, luxurious week.  So I have packaged up all my spoons, and bundled together my sticks, and am sending them in Round’s direction. There you go, chookie, ballast for the week ahead x
Terrible driving weather yesterday as we dripped past HB’s, waving manically. Raining non stop ever since, so a typical week off work for me.
Lots of knitting and reading planned for the week ahead, minimal flying. Whoops.

Dailies are done.  Dog had a walk as the rain did stop.  Got some free apples en route so I've made an apple pie for later/next few days.
Am currently hoovering through with breaks for refreshments and watching radio 2 in the park.

Can't believe that I forgot breakfast 🤔 Had lunch now so discrepancy remedied.Nom nom.

Mr Al was heaving!!! But never mind. All done. Smile exchanged with a young girl watching me try to pass a totally oblivious woman who kept moving her trolley in the same direction as I moved while trying to get past. That smile deflected my potential trolley rage. 

Groceries have been put away. Prescription has been put away. 

1,000,0001 things I could / should be doing but time to start a new book methinks.

Fayolle - bundling your sticks may not have been the best idea. I'm thinking said bundle would make a useful weapon. 🤔

Left hearing aid as stopped, and just will not work, so to get if fixed tomorrow, mean while I'm a bit lop sided with my hearing.

Wild flower garden that I cut back about 3 weeks ago, dried flowers stems raked over and given a good shake so the seeds drop out, so of the dried stuff in green bin, rest to go in the next time there is room. New poppy and other wild seeds bought for next year.

Off out tonight to a quiz!
