Popping in to scream loudly. Is that OK?
I need to start doing the lottery. Or find a rich old man to marry. Eugh....maybe not.
I fed the birds and put the recycling out before I set off for work. To meet the flying thread criteria 😉
Posiflyladyvibes would be greatly appreciated this afti. Just to get me through to 4.30. Thank you

I have emptied a drawer full of children's games and books which I will take to the CS. Now trying to identify guests in a 1924 wedding photo.

Deep breaths Round. Sorry to hear about Thomas Piggers.
Today, I have done first work shift, walked Poppet, been for coffee with friends, hoovered through, done dailies, dyed my hair and had a long soak in the bath.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Thank you ladies 😘
I was asked to email higher up what the problem is in the office. So I did. I want to work. The other two want to chat. I do not have a problem with them chatting to each other. But I don't want to join in. I'm happy to be polite, professional and to help with any work queries. But I go to work to work.
I asked supervisor to read it before I sent it. To be on the safe side.
I can't believe that people are complaining I don't chat at work. Am I rude? No. Do I answer work queries? Yes, happily. Am I your unpaid therapist? No. Do I want to be your pal? No. I am happy to wish you a pleasant weekend - subtext is Thank goodness you're going (but I don't say that bit). I will even engage in conversation IF I have no work to do! IF being the operative word. Interrupting my work thought flow to suddenly ask me how I'm losing weight is not conducive to harmony. Following up, when I've turned back to my work, to ask how I count calories is ?? I don't know the word. Well I'll say 'annoying' to be polite. I'm pretty sure my face said 'Seriously???' My face is not very good at pretending. My mouth is better, it's wary of getting the sack.
Anyhoo. I'm home. Unpacked my lunch bag, changed into my scruffs, opened the post, binned the envelopes, and supped a coffee.
I'm not a horrible person, honest. 🙊

Round I had a lot of jobs over the years and sometimes the work was boring, but the real hassle was nearly always the people. I didn't go to work to socialise, and while I liked some of them I rarely stayed in touch with anyone after I left. One of the best things about being retired is that I get to choose who I spend time with. Hang on in there. The WM is fixed, the load that was in there has been rinsed in the bath and when it stops raining it will go outside to dry. I rather suspect we should have had the sofa cushion covers dry-cleaned but I don't care. It's Belovéd's sofa and we both dislike the feel of the fabric and its capacity to attract dust. If they die we will save up and find another sofa he likes and get rid of this one.Bathroom cleaned, shower room cleaned, superking and double given the once over, and some stairs and a corridor given a spring clean. The WM repair man (an excellent chap) had to turn out a few things and that needed clearing up so I've turned out that cupboard, cleaned it and put back the stuff I want to keep. Not much made it to the bin but it's a cupboard I've done fairly recently (like in the last year, that's recent, right?) so I knew it wouldn't be a big job. It all looks a lot better down there, mainly because I washed all the paintwork including the back door.Dy$on and V@x both emptied copious times, carpet washer emptied and put away although it's been a few days since it's last actual stint, and I've set up two loads of washing so that when it finally stops raining tomorrow I can get them on and pegged out.All the CS stuff is covering the dining table so we can load it into the car first thing tomorrow and I can drop it off after I've done my stint at the Foodbank and on the way to do a big shop. That's enough for one day.Better is good enough.5

Oh Round you do make me smile. But seriously, I am friendly with my work colleagues and some of them I have worked with for a long time but I never have any contact with them outside of work and I keep home life and work life firmly separate. If people don't like that it's tough. I also get irritated by too much chatter.
Sorry for your loss Pigpen x
Not a bad day here, I was complimented on how I handled myself in a meeting, which was nice. I will fly a little tomorrow, the house isn't too bad.

i haven’t got any work colleagues. But i’m going out for a Christmas meal with the laboratory colleagues, one of whom is now one of my very best friends, it’s just been organised. So these are people who worked together some 30 years ago…they are a great bunch.
But not everyone is nice…maybe i was lucky.
I have cleaned my bedroom, been to chemists for mums trays of tablets and coop for freezer deal (two birds) and knitted.
WDYTYA was lovely…

Ooh now I feel guilty what with you all being so productive today..I did nothing except flop on the sofa and watch trashy TV. I did get up every so often to make a cuppa and let the dogs out in the garden.
Did some research online on UI and think I've settled on something (it's a product that was on Dragon's Den and has had favourable reviews) that I think will help so placed an order to see how it'll work. If that doesn't work then it looks like I'll have to go to the drs and see what they can offer me i.e. surgically.
Ooh wait I did deweb the ceilings and stair rods, as well as hoover the cat litter up, that my little darlings love to traipse all over for me 😀
And I'm a great auntie - Matilda was born yesterday at 19.19, but my poor nephew's partner had to have a C-section as she had been in labour for 2½ days and both her and baby were struggling. Poor thing, first baby and she had to have that...and she can't come home yet..bless her. But mum and baby are doing well... Omg I feel old....lolMortgage Free as of 20.9.17Declutter challenge 2023, 2024 🏅 🏅⭐️⭐️

Morning all xx
TGIF.
Thank you ladies for never making me feel judged and for letting me be me. It really helps my mental health to have a safe place to scream.
Believe it or not I get on really well with most of my colleagues - you only hear about the ones I don't. I've kept in touch with two people who've left and we meet up for a catch up. Neither of them could cope with the two I sit with now. I always think it's my fault...and sometimes it is. But not always.
Anyhoo I'm hoping for an unemotional day with P today. Posivibes please.
I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, eaten breakfast, and supped a brew.
Calendar is still on 4th Sept. That's not a good sign.
Have a good day
