Thank you for the lists. Hope you feel better soon, Natty.
Yesterday I flew in extremis, managed to tick quite a few things from my super long weekend list, including cleaning the oven shelves and the hob. This evening I got home from work and, dear reader, I actually renewed the car insurance. Phew! Not the cheapest quote, for many boring reasons, but my current insurer dropped their renewal by £30 so I decided to prolong the anxiety no more.
Car goes in for a service tomorrow, so it really is an expensive start to the new year.
Lots of posivibes to those returning to work tomorrow after time off and birthdays 😊. Take Tigger with you, he will shake up the place.6 -
Glad it was a nice birthday Round.Back at the paid stuff after a nice week away, bit anxious but I survived.
Flying has been minimal, we are fed and the basics are done. DH started his new job today so it's been a tiring day for both of us.
How many days until the weekend?6 -
Evening all.
Today I have completed Wordle but only 2 lines of Connections; cleaned the kitchen worktops; WULTD about 3 times; emptied and washed bins; finished updating my financial spreadsheets; printed out and sorted some more photos (still a long way to go); delivered dust sheets and paintbrushes [fer-ling!] to the churchwarden who is organising things for the community payback team to come and paint our church railings; looked after W for the afternoon because her mum had to work (we played card and board games, went to the park, and made jam); cooked a big packet of mince, enough for 4 meals for the two of us; played with Rosie; and done HHI. It could perhaps have been more if I hadn't felt so tired this afternoon - it was very humid here, though we appear to have missed the thunderstorms. I couldn't have an afternoon nap with W here.
(((Hugs))) to anyone else struggling with the weather or illness / dealing with reluctant school returners / frustrated that their to-do lists get longer rather than shorter each day xxx6 -
Did pretty well yesterday. Everything done apart from uniform labelling. MUST get done today!
Here is my list..
Twinkling Tuesday ~ Bouncing Bedroom
Level One..
Clear the floor of anything that doesn't belong there..
Hoover the floor
Level Two..
Strip the bed and remake with fresh clean bedding
Dust surfaces
Polish mirrors and any other shiny surfaces...
Extra
HHI
Label uniform
DD was sick in the night so her bed is already stripped and in the WM!!!
Have a good day everyone!Grocery challenge- feb 2015- £133.07/£2507 -
Good morning 😊
I managed to tick a few bits off my list yesterday, but I didn't feel very productive. DD2 was here taking up residence on the sofa after what should be her final scan. She is 38 weeks and has gone back to work today after 6 weeks off! The induction date is the 11th....
I have cut out 11 flower shapes. I still need to work out how to put it all together 😂
No paid stuff today. Paralympics is on, distracting me! I am up, dressed & had a cuppa. I need to have breakfast & put on the WM. DH WULTD & emptied the DW before he left. I would say that I can enjoy the peace today, but the council have finally decided to resurface our road. It is very noisy!! And some of the heavy machines make the house shake 😬 No chance of a lie in!!
Okay - breakfast, WM, then I will make a proper list.
Have a good day everyone. Round I hope work is okay 👍7 -
Thank you for your get well wishes, I'm hoping that this doesn't hang around too long now that the COVID has gone. But knowing me it'll be another week or so before the after effects shift. 👍
Has anyone seen Cloth of Gold? I haven't seen him posting and was hoping things are ok. I know I don't post as I should but I do like to read his insight into his life with A.
Major work today going on - I have my nephew and his girlfriend coming round to put up the bike shed for us. So I've got to tidy the house, will do a surface clean, and get the lunch organised I.e. defrost sausages and burgers. Nice and simple lunch, burgers and hotdogs all round 😉 plus I want the house to look nice and tidy 😜
Have to round up the cats so that they can spend the day in the bedroom - poor things get traumatized if we have strange people coming to the house...
So to do -
Hang washing out,
Tidy up dog toys
Put things away that are out of place
Quick tidy up
Get DH to hoover downstairs
DH to post office down the road to pick up his parcel and fly spray (if the back door is open then I need spray as the cat mesh isn't up against the door)
Pick up D & C at sister's place
Think that's it...

Bedding changed. First of four wash loads in machine. Oh, that's it. Will hopefully achieve more later.
Have a great day everyone.Spend less now, work less later.7 -
Morning all
today my friend and i had planned to go to York, not least because the last time i went i never left the NRM 😉 but she has a bad back so we cancelled. Given my home is rapidly descending into a candidate for Kim and Aggie it’s probably a good thing.
