Evening all.
Well done for surviving the week, round. Glad P gave you a good day to end on xx
Congratulations to Natty on joining the ranks of great-aunties. Hope you get to see the baby soon xx
Kazwookie, thank you for posting the link about the Heritage Open Days. We are hoping to take K and the girls to an open-air museum of buildings tomorrow. I last went there about 40 years ago!
It was bitterly cold yesterday, with strong winds (but no rain here), and this morning started calm but very chilly - however, the sun came out at lunchtime and I have washed, dried and FUPA 4xWM loads. This included stripping my bed and re-making it with fresh bedding - which I managed to do on my own, as today my shoulder is less painful than usual.
Didn't achieve much flying otherwise, as I got caught up with trying to identify some of the family members in the 1924 wedding photo and spent a lot of time going back 2 more generations on my cousins' line. DH had to go to the GP surgery for a nurse appointment so took the toys to the CS and did a small shop at MrAl which is all we need this weekend. He brought me a bunch of sunflowers and actually remembered to pay for them separately from the groceries (for which I shall refund him)
Have a restful weekend, everyone xxx6 -
Well… I have been foraging and now have a kitchen which looks like a crime scene and blackberry and 🍏 straining through a jelly bag. I looked like an urchin but i am showered (2nd of the day) and i think it’s the first time for 3 years. Tomorrow i’ll be making bramble jelly nom nom
ive done this. And i’ve discovered a damson tree nearby and am wondering whether to have a little chat with the owner…

Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, sploshed bleach down the loo, brought down the laundry hamper, sorted washing into loads, set first load swishing, made a brew, completed Wordle and Connections. And I've reset the calendars to today's date. Let's start again.

That should restore a little order. Better eat something to. Sounds like a plan.
Congratulations on becoming a great aunt, Natty. xx
Love, hugs and best wishes to all. I'm keeping my spoons, sorry. And I'd be grateful for any sticks flung in this direction. A fluffy mule or two might help too. 😉

House is much improved and I can see the flying is making such a difference. I think consistency is the key. When I did the bathrooms yesterday, they just needed a quick wipe and they only took half the time that they normally do. Shows it is working.

Big pile of sticks on standby for whenever they're needed Round. This will pass. And I forgot to offer you my sincere admiration for your amazing weightloss. You thoroughly deserved last night's feast.Huge congratulations Natty on becoming a great aunt. Most days I only manage the absolutely vital dailies and there are some days when if Belovéd didn't do the evening meal we'd be living on bread and cheese. We all do what we can and that's enough. *healing vibes*Big (((hugs))) to everyone who hasn't had a hug in a while who would like one.Made it to the biggest CS I could think of on an industrial estate yesterday because I know they're all rammed full of stuff and are limiting their intake to sometimes zero and the rest of the time two boxes or binbags. It wasn't deliberate that I'd managed to squeeze most of the stuff into two very large boxes, but there was other gibble like the bird feeders and seed that just don't work here for us any more. They said that stuff will fly off the shelves, so yes to that, and the the piece de resistance - a huge stuffed tiger. It's about half lifesize, and fabulous. Belovéd inherited it from his cousin who died last year but it doesn't have a CE label so it's illegal to sell it but it is legal to give those things away. Obvs the hospice people turned it down but as I was standing there by the counter holding it a woman who happened to be paying for something fell in love with it so I gave it to her on the condition she made a donation to St Lukes. Perfect. I bumped into her several times while I was ferrying stuff into the place and she was clutching it like it was a liferaft. So something that had become a just another bit of clutter to us did a good deed and made someone very happy.Did a Foodbank stint, and a hefty amount of tracking down tricky stuff in some shops and then spent a couple of hours grating cheese and slicing bread to go into the freezer before having a couple of hours rest before going out for a neighbour's 60th birthday bash at a local theatre. Huge fun, lots of dancing, Belovéd is hungover but currently walking the dog before we go into her house for brunch. After that I'm doing as close to nothing as I can for the rest of the day.Better is good enough.6

Having a coffee and checking what I said I'd do, and where I'm at with it. My head's a shed.
First load had an extra spin and is now on the airer. Second load has just finished swishing so is ready for an extra spin.
Boiler broke down mid shower. 🤬. Dripped my way through to it, fixed it, and carried on. Mario is back in the building 👷♀️.
Right. Looks like WUDUPA is next.
Off we go again

Hello all. Forgot to say congratulations to Natty. There, done!
Today I have sent a headache packing so have been able to do dailies, walk Poppet and did nearly two hours of gardening before it rained. Unfortunately there are two wash loads on the line! Maybe it will dry up. The third load can stay in the machine until I make a decision on how to get it dry.

I have made the bramble jelly, been to work to supervise plumber looking at broken toilet, been shopping, lovely butchers, Mr L and Mr M as Mr L doesn’t sell yourkshire puddings and i cannot make them…called at the damson house… no mre damsons accessible, she’s more than happy for me to go next year, she doesn’t want any jam, she has lots, thank you and i came away with almost 4lb of plums. they’ve been cooked and i’ve made lemon posset for tomorrows dessert but am now out of spoons so i’ve had to turn the plums off and come and sit down and, hopefully, find some energy. I haven’t even got enough oomph to go upstairs for a ball of wool to continue knitting
