Mine is out of the fixed rate but the cheapest one is EDF and I don't like them.

got lots done today, mainly tidying but also cleaned the hutch and understory. All laundry dried and ironed, some put away. Remembered to buy plain flour which is now being decontaminated in the freezer as the last lot had to be thrown *shudder*.

Morning all xx
First day back at Toxic Towers yesterday and my head was all over the place. I'd blanked the place so completely while I was off that I couldn't remember how to answer the phone when it rang. Seriously! Add to that my keyboard wouldn't work, my system would only let me load one unit, someone had altered my chair so that it now tips back...which I didn't know until I tipped !!! And I swore within the first half hour. Then they moved into my office the one (and only) colleague who has ever complained to management about me. And breathe... It was very quiet and I got lots of work done. 😉 Banging headache by the end of the day. And I needed a cider to help me relax when I got home. (Calories counted!)
Anyhoo. I'm up, made my bed, dressed, packed my lunch bag, completed Wordle and Connections, eaten breakfast and supped a brew.
I filled up with diesel on my way to work yesterday, so that's one job less for the weekend.
I will feed the birds and put out the recycling (empty cider can 🤣) before I set off. Why did 🎶 the highway to Hell 🎶 just pop into my head?
Just got to survive this morning with my nemesis - she leaves at 12.15pm. Then I can relax for the rest of the week...until next Tuesday. But let's not think about that.
Love to all. Especially to lovely young ladies who start secondary school today 😘
Have a good one

Natty68 said:Thanks Natty. I'll bear that in mind. The stack is still there, haunting me. Every time I shower I'm running late, and then later I get hot and sweaty doing stuff. I need to be freshly showered to try on the clothes.I've fixed a light that's been hanging around for a decade still in its box to go into the attic. The batteries had corroded but fortunately I never got round to putting them in so they're for recycling and the light can go in the attic at last.Put stuff away that needs to be away in the two letting rooms and moved stuff out that needs to be out. I'd dearly love to be a minimalist on days when I spend quite a bit of time moving stuff around. We're airing them for 48 hours for the weekend arrivals, so I'll need to give them and the shower room a lick and polish tomorrow. The WM needs an engineer's attention because there's a fault which normally I'd have a pop at fixing but I simply don't have the bandwidth at the moment to take on anything like that. He's due tomorrow morning. All the old bird feeders have been put back together and all the other CS stuff has been boxed up to be delivered tomorrow. I'm hoping the animal rescue places will take the bird seed and feeders and two bags of birdseed our birds don't want to eat, and the hospice shop the rest of the stuff. It includes two electric lamps because I think they still have a volunteer electrician who can test them. One is very old fashioned, the other is ultra modern but we don't need them.Trying to work out how to make the dough for bread in the breadmaker and then bake it in the oven so that it doesn't have a hold in the bottom and is good for making sandwiches. I know our oven bakes at exactly the temperature it says, so these loaves need it set to a lot lower than the handbook says. They're very dark on top already with another 20 mintues to go. While the oven's on I've shoved a couple of fishcakes in for tonight's supper which is super lazy of me, but we rarely use the oven now so it feels like a treat.Better is good enough.6

@Honey_Bear - It might not help with this baking session, but I think you can cover the bread with aluminium foil when it starts to get too dark to stop it from darkening. I know it also what you do for pie crusts.7
