Well it should have been a NSD but I helped out my son who has a rather urgent issue with a collapsed drain (ahh the good old bank of mum)  hopefully all sorted by tomorrow 🤞

on the plus side i got a free pasta salad for lunch tomorrow courtesy of Olio 🙂

@Worlds_Worst_Superhero well done on sorting out a tricky plumbing problem so quickly (and cheaply)! I have you on 6 NSDs but you left Wed 4th out of your account, just wanted to check in case you are on 7? xx :)
Oops, I had my days mixed up!
I've rectified the original post. It should be:

    Sunday 1st- NSD
    Monday 2nd- NSD
    Tuesday 3rd- NSD
    Wednesday 4th- NSD
    Thursday 5th- NSD
    Friday 6th- Spending Day 👛
    Saturday 7th- NSD
    Sunday 8th- NSD
Monday 9th- Spending Day 💰 Plumber and post-disaster Wine 🍷
    Tuesday 10th- NSD

That makes 8 No Spend Days so far.

September tends to be quite a frugal month for me. No big birthdays or holidays, and working from home for most of the week means I don't have travel expenses but do have time to cook from scratch using the prepped summer fruit and veg in the freezer or cheap/ foraged fresh seasonal fruit and veg and store cupboard supplies.
With the lad having gone off to uni, I am going to have a major declutter before doing some serious renovations/ decorating in the Spring.

  • Autumn is such a wonderful time of year 🍁

The changing colours of nature, wrapping up for walks in the countryside, snuggly jumpers, fungus hunts, foraging apples and berries, darker nights, homemade soup, Halloween, cosying up with a good book and a cup of hot chocolate, conkers, pumpkins, bonfires....

I was feeling rather down on Sunday and Monday- a combination of the plumbing incident and a touch of "empty nest syndrome"-  but after a lunchtime walk in the woods and an afternoon baking biscuits, I'm feeling much better 🙂
