I quite like Google Authenticator as it lists sites in a nice compact format. I have to use Authy for a couple of sites and it can authenticate via push notifications if supported by the site. Both will allow cloud backup, but it is not a good idea to enable this IMHO. Weakens the security offered by 2FA if it can be moved to another device easily.1

I use Microsoft Authenticator with Trading 212 (only because I had that anyway for a work related site). I have only used it once per device (phone, laptop).
Trading 212 can give you an emergency access code too in case you lose access to your chosen authenticator. That should be stored in a very safe place.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. I think the 2FA is primary to control access from new devices. That is certainly what is implied by the Settings options.
I'd be happy if there was an option to control withdrawals too.
In general I find the app leaves me logged in unless I specifically log out, which also feels sloppy. There is a case for not using the mobile app at all.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards. Ah, just found if I set a passcode I can also enable biometric login. And with that it now asks for a fingerprint every time I switch to or open the app. Happier now.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Credit Cards and Budgeting & Bank Accounts boards.
